What up Titans fans, Jets fan here... I was interested to hear what the feel was over here for the game Sunday. I can tell you that Jets fans are worried about this game, not for any specific reason other than Tennessee should be better than they have been and as a Jets fan we are accustom to having our hearts ripped out in the cruelest of fashions. However, we are cautsiously optomistic, Sanchez looks like a vet, Rex Ryan just creates this confidence that is contagious. I don't think the Titans are going to score on this D. The Jets corners and safeties can handle the Titans WRs and TEs. The question is can the Jets stop run, if Big Jenkins stays healthy we should be able to. I'm fairly certain the Titans will attack the Jets Offense as both Houston and NE did, stack the box and make the rookie beat you. If he plays like he has been playing Sanchez will do just that. However, being a life long Jets fan, you just know he is going to have a few clunker games. If this is one of them, it could spell trouble. However, I believe the Jets are the more talented team and if they tackle on D and hold CJ in check and the Sanchize doesn't implode the Jets will win. If they don't stop CJ and Sanchez turns the ball over, the Jets could easily lose.

On an aside, I read through a few posts and you guys seem pretty reasonable. We had Pats week last week and what a bunch degenerate homers. Stay classy Tennessee.

I don't think they were wrong, but I think they didn't adjust to 'fix' the problem. To their credit, they did try to sign 2 of the better guys who could have come in and lessened the blow, but both were signed for more money than they're worth. Not wanting to overspend, the Titans were left with the draft and our current roster. While Britt looks to be worth the 1st rnd pick they spent on him, DE Everett Brown was available and regarded as one of the best pass rushers in the draft. They also liked what they saw from Hayes and Ford on the outside last year and KVB has had 12 sacks a season when healthy for us. Question is, why is the pressure not getting there and what can they do now about it.

He may have an advantage with understanding exotic looks and coverages over most rookies, but he's still a rookie and it wasn't like he was a 4 year starter in college. He's got a great arm, accuracy and touch from what we've seen, but they have also protected him with their philosophy (don't pressure him), great OL, focus on the run and playcalling. He's not been down 2 TD's and forced to throw into the teeth of the D with the game on the line. I've been very impressed with him as his wr's dropped some good throws, but like all rookies, he can be rattled. If they come after him, we can do some good things. If they let him sit in a clean pocket, he will find someone and make the big plays we've seen him make.

If you put Rhodes on him in space, expect to see a big play. Rhodes can't stay close enough. Leonhard has some quick acceleration so he's probably a better candidate but he better not have to stay with him for 30 yds. Both teams have some real matchup problems.

Harris is a good blitzer. Not a pass rusher.

From what we're hearing, Sheppard and Strictland should play despite missing practice time. Sheppard is a good CB but he constantly puts his hands on guys downfield and has drawn a lot of flags. Strictland has also been very aggressive (as our guys were the last 2 years). When you get pressure and know the QB's getting it out fast...it works. When we have shots to take with max protect or we pickup your blitz well...I feel we can make big plays against any of your cb's not named Revis. It's all well and good to roll coverage to a weaker side...but who's covering CJ? If Cook plays this game he's another matchup problem since he's the 2nd or 3rd fastest guy on our team and a WR in a TE's body.

It's gonna be a fun cat and mouse game...who's gonna get who?

You too! Always great to talk to other knowledgeable fans!!!

    JetsFanJim...

I think the Titans will score 1 or more TD's on you guys. First, we've played this defense the last few years in Baltimore and we have been able to move the ball and score. We turned the ball over an uncharacteristic amount in the playoff loss or we win that game. So while your defense has been superb and impressive, the Titans have been there and beaten it before. Plus, we have more weapons. Outside of Revis, our WR's, Cook and CJ are serious matchup problems for your CB's and S's. Cook and CJ are faster than any of your LB's and S's and I don't think Sheppard, Strictland, Lowery can stay with Britt or Washington. Only question is, can your pressure nullify our mismatches?

I believe the Titans are the more talented team, but you guys are doing more with what you have than anyone else so far. Strictland was awesome against the Pats and Moss couldn't expose anyone, even when you were playing zone with Revis on the otherside of the field.

Turnovers will be a HUGE factor in this game. If we let Sanchez stay in a clean pocket, we likely lose the game. You let CJ exploit some mismatches, you guys likely lose the game. It's gonna be fun!
