Yep, on the Titans 53-man roster we have 4 cornerbacks; Cortland Finnegan, Nick Harper, Ryan Mouton, and Jason McCourty. Cary Williams, who was said to have huge offseason strides by Cortland and Fisher was released today so we could sign a punter.

Is anybody else worried that we only have four cornerbacks? Our secondary is struggling already... We really shouldn't of drafted Sen'Derrick Marks and should of gotten a CB in the 2nd then Jared Cook w/ our 3rd then we would still have our 2010 2nd rounder.

Hopefully we don't have ANY secondary injuries (knock on wood).

fuller is our Nickelback so we do have 5.

I don't understand why we don't sign Chris Mcalister.

NO ONE has signed McAlister which should indicate he's done.

I think we could operate just fine. Like Jazzy Titan said, Fuller effectively fills in the NB spot, so the other 2 CBs we have are purely backups. If teams can make it with 3 DTs (many have) we surely can make it with 2 backup CBs.

Plus the team may have an "agreement" with Cary Williams that he will be re-signed as soon as Hentrich is healthy and the other punters are cut.

Also, in a pinch, Griffin could return to corner. Fuller could play FS where he played a lot at VA Tech. Harper or Mouton could play the nickle. The team actually does have options here, and apparently better ones than Cary Williams.

And in case everyone forgot, if one of our starters does go down, we can put them on the PUP/IR list and bring Williams back from the PS if need be.

    Exactly!

Exactly what I said at draft time. Marks was a reach that wasn't gonna help us this year and may never be 'good.' Meanwhile, we have an aging Harper who needs to be replaced.

Personally, I thought we needed to look at DE and CB in rd 1 before WR. With Butler dropping they should have gone and gotten him.

We could have had a DE and a CB who could contribute immediately on this team. Britt is doing a nice job but as has been stated many times before....if you subtract from the defense and add offense, you will be worse off.

As expected, we're scoring more points on offense, but the bad defense is more than overshadowing the offensive improvements. History repeats yet again...
