Coaching change had nothing to do with it. Fulmer left the program in shambles. Honestly, could ANYBODY win with Crompton? I had hope for the guy but was obviously being delusional. It won't get any better either since they'll probably be starting a true freshman at QB next year. Thanks Phil.

On a positive note, the defense has improved and is elite.

 

I dont watch much college but from what i seen the Vols dont look good at WR and QB.

they looked confused and unstable. Gators are next right?

 

If they score a TD against Florida, I'll be impressed.

 

I didn't expect us to go to SEC championship this year but good lord, field a decent QB at least, we are wasting the little talent on offense with this QB that can't get them the ball or make any positive decisions. Teague had almost 100 yards receiving last week and Cromp never looked his way. The playcalling was Fulmer/Fisher-esque aka terrible. At least Monte is doing his job, can't say the same for anyone else.

 

The play-calling was fine. There's not a whole lot of plays you can call when you're QB throws a pick or a worm-burner every time he drops back.

The only call I would question was the 4th goal at the end. Why run it up the middle when Sullins was getting absolutely man-handled the entire game? Price made him look like he belonged at WKU.

 

Yeh exactly I was thinking more on the line of play-action...

 

The play calling is never the problem with coaching changes. It's getting players to learn the system... and these guys obviously don't know it yet, and the players aren't there to suit the system either.
