I love people who call me a fake fan because I'm not a ridiculous homer that thinks we'll win 11 games and go to the superbowl with a game manager and no big play potential.

I'll root for whoever is behind center for the Titans, and I hope we do win the rest of our games, but if it's life or death vs any of these teams: New England, Philadelphia, Minnesota, San Diego, New York, or even Indianapolis, I'd probably take the field over Tennessee.

Dick Lebeaux is considered a DC genius for a reason. He knows how to scheme to pressure QB's. Collins is a seasoned vet and played like one. He threw the ball away before he was sacked. There were one or two open WR's, but not any that he "overlooked" before he got to them on his progression. Collins immobility and the excellent blitz packages limited his time to get through his progressions. Collins played smart with what the time he had.

If there is anything to gripe about it is the kicking game, Gage's drops and Nate Washington's not acclerating out of his routes.

Kerry Collins did a great job with the drive mentioned... you can't take a sack inside of the 10 yard line... Collins is the main reason there were only 12 sacks last year (8 of Collins, 4 of Young in a fraction of the time that Collins played) because he gets the ball out. He will never have a great percentage of completions because he throws the ball away when nessecary rather than forcing it. If anyone is to blame it's the play calling. Where were the screens or draws when the blitz was inevitable.... Collins executed the plays correctly given the circumstance.

Don't forget about Kerry's gift to Troy. That would've been six if Kerry had 'over thrown' it like he has with every other deep pass besides this one since he has started for us. And our return game/field position as well as the kicking/punting.

I'm not ready to throw the season away, but Pittsburgh or not, there are several things that need to be shored up quickly. As long as we destroy Houston next week, we should be back on track.

^^ That ball was underthrown but a veteran WR recognizes it and breaks up the INT. Britt had his thumb up his azz on that one. Plus- at that stage in the game the field position was just as good (and probably better) than the punt would have been after the incomplete pass. I didn't mind Collins taking that chance.

Back to the game, our coaching was horrible. The worst part of this loss for me was that we still had the game in our hands. Even after the way things were going for us, we still could have and should have won that game. There is a lot of blame to be shared but the majority of it falls on our coaches. Not Bironas, not KFC, our coaches screwed the pooch. Offensively and Defensively we were out coached.

I didn't mind him taking that chance either, but you're not going to blame Britt for that pick (not if you're smart and observant). That was all Collins.
I also wouldn't be so critical of this if Collins didn't have the tendency to over throw his WRs, and the one time he doesn't, he gets picked. I hope he learned his lesson (him and Britt).

^^^ I totally disagree. The coaching had the team in position to win several times- the players didn't execute. And a coach can't adjust to poor player execution other than to quit relying on the player(s).

Special teams' failure of grandeur made a huge contribution to our loss as well.

Yeah, that pick really wasn't KFC's fault. Britt should have went into defense mode and broken that one up. Rookie mistake for sure. KFC did ok, but this same ole lame ole Fisherball routine gets real boring real fast.

Run, Run, Pass, Punt. How predictable. Sucks playing not to lose it rather than playing to win.
