Well, if he wasn't turning the ball over, and he was scoring TD's, at least he would be lucky.

I think he was hinting that if it were a regular season game he would have put his head down and taken a big hit to get the TD. But seeing how this is a pre-season game it would be colossally stupid for a QB to get himself hurt on a play that really means nothing.

Granted it would have been nice for him not to fumble but it most likely would have meant the same thing either way. I would have liked to have seen a few camera angles to see if he actually fumbled the ball but just like most people. The NFL network doesn't really care too much about getting it right in pre-season games.

You mean when you implied the VY was going to get demoted to 3rd string?

    1. VY needs to lay it all out or Ramsey will take the second spot.
    2. VY's performance has sucked and it not doing what you think he needs to do.
    3. So if we follow your first two statements then VY should have been demoted.

I guess your idea of reality isn't what it needs to be.

Then in another post you implied that no great QB has had as slow a start as Vince.

Oh yes because after starting for 1.5 years he hasn't won a super bowl. And just to point out Troy Aikman went 1-15 his first year, then 7-9. His numbers were pretty crappy and nothing to get excited about. However JJ and JJ built a team around him, supported him and in his 4th year of STARTING he won a super bowl.

Oh and lets not forget Tony Romo who was a 3rd string QB for three years and entered his 4th year as a backup. His 5th year in the league he was moved up to starting QB. This will be his 3rd year of starting.

Oh and then there is Steve Young who.. honestly... why don't you just go look it up since you obviously didn't research any of your accusations.

I'm the type of guy who can't believe this thread is still going and wonders how people can continue to talk about the same thing over and over again.

You must not read very many Vince Young threads then. :ha:

I don't do much reading when it comes to VY threads. They piss me off too much, and they're far too repetitive for me to give my input (again and again). Imagine what this place would be like if Vince was gone... a utopia.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... there needs to be an "Official VY Thread."

Solves all problems. Any added thread discussing VY should just be deleted IMO.

The only time putting "VY" in the title of a thread is when that glorious day comes. You know?... that day... The day Vince Young is released from the Tennessee Titans. Now that would be a great thread.

  8. It's not as if he slid short of the endzone. He was going to get hit regardless. 3 defenders closed on him as soon as he ran. There was no reason not to go hard simply because it was a preseason game. He was simply afraid of getting hit.

VY is not McNair. Steve would launch himself at defenders with no worry about getting hit. Often times, he was the guy doing the hitting. But that's not Vince. Vince doesn't like getting hit. He shies away from contact. THAT's why he pulled up. Being a preseason game had nothing to do with it.

I replayed it on my tivo. It was definitely a fumble. But the fumble doesn't matter because the half was over as soon as he failed to get into the endzone. That's why his decision making gets criticized.

Ok, these are the reasons I don't want Young here anymore: I don't want anymore fumbles on the one, balls that flutter in the air for minutes before they are picked off, batted passes every drive, miscues with WR's, whining, boasting before achieving, throwing off the back foot, throwing it to the other team while under pressure, and not using your God given speed because you want to prove that you can throw side arm.

I just can't put up with this :grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr: anymore. I don't care if we trade or release him and he becomes a star elsewhere, he's not going to here. This team is talented enough that they don't deserve to go through Vince's growing pains if something happened to KC. I would release him after this year and go for one of the QB's in this year's draft if one is still available when we are on the clock.

You could be right. Or maybe you are wrong. Of course you "know" your right so any argument would be pointless.

That being said. If I were a coach and my starting or backup QB got a concussion because he decided to "give it his all" I would shove my foot so far up his butt he could taste it.
