CJ and Lil Wayne are buddies, so...

    yea... :hmm:

As long as CJ keeps playing at a high level, he can hang out with whoever he wants as long as it doesn't lead to legal troubles.

    No it's not.

It gives the community the wrong idea... especially younger children.

It's just not right, IMO, to have celebrities (dirty ones) to be working for the government.

Why have them working for the government when there are many who are more mature, more dedicated, and more qualified than them who could have their place?

Born alone, die alone, no crew to keep my crown or throne
I'm deep by sound alone, caved inside in a thousand miles from home
I need a new dude, for this black cloud to follow
Cause while it's over me it's too dark to see tomorrow
Trying to maintain, I flip, fill the clip to the tip
Picturin my peeps, now the income make my heartbeat skip
And I'm amped up, they locked the champ up, even my brain's in handcuffs
Headed for Indiana stabbin women like the Phantom

Nas is def up there IMO. As far as basing rap on the radio. Bad Idea. Im one of the biggest rap fans you'll see but the radio is the last place I would go for good music. These days good hip hop is not in the media because all the typical teenager wants to do is dance. They will hear something like

"It drops deep as it does in my breath
I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death
Beyond the walls of intelligence, life is defined
I think of crime when I'm in a New York state of mind"

and it'll fly over their head.

Most of his punchlines are terribly forced, imo. Extremely corny to me. Plus, he rhymes like Dr. Seuss. No multis or rhymes other than the last word of each bar... so it usually flows very elementary.

This wouldn't be so bad- BUT he claims to be the best rapper alive, and that's what makes me hate him.

I could post a lot of his verses that almost make me vomit from how thoughtless they are, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. A small example:

To you forever from me to you
I heard somebody say judge I’ma need a suit
    I’ma need a coupe
    I wont need a roof.
    Fly in da beetle-juice beetle-juice beetle-juice
I got the flow tryna see the roof
Didn’t bulletproof so I got shot
you can see the proof (see the proof)
Blind eyes can look at me and see the truth
    I wonder if stevie do?
But I’ma leave it to god
    Not to me or you.
    Cause I am a murderer
Cause I got summer hatin on me
Cause I’m hotter than the sun
    Got Spring hatin on me
    Cuase I never sprung
    Winter Hatin on me
    Cause I’m colder than y’all
But I will never I will never I will never fall.
I’m being hated by the season
So f**k y’all hatin for no reason.

The decent lines are so simple that you can't take them seriously "spring hating cause I never sprung" (etc), but most of it is just incoherent babble.

I don't think he could ever actually tell a story, or rap about something serious and be successful. (god, he tried with 'Georgia' and it was terrible)

Again, if he didn't claim to be the best- I probably wouldn't HATE him, but since he does...he invites the criticism.

I think there are better commercial rappers out there. Like Fabolous, Drake, etc. Guys that actually have the ability to write good lines and put effort in to their writing.
Wayne just sounds like he gets drunk/high and freestyles on every song.

Deuce - I see what you're saying about Wayne and I can't really argue with anything you said. I think it's more a matter of personal taste than Wayne objectively sucking, though. To appreciate Wayne (and I fully accept that it's hard to do and not something anyone needs to do), you have to buy in to his free-flowing, playful stream-of-consciousness rhymes (and the fact that a lot of stuff will be cheesy and not always make sense). I still think his flow is far superior to a lot of guys out there.
