Yep. Re-read that first paragraph again, or 100 times. That's all the perspective you need.

Apparently you may want to re-read mine too because as I stated I didn't want to essentially make a personal attack out of my response. There isn't much point in calling someone stupid. I read yours several times and I still think that was a horrible post. The fact you even brought up how she had to pay for her car or how she had to pay rent?? Wow! God forbid she learn to live on her own like the rest of society does. Since she's dating an athlete she should just be given everything with a bow tied around it....right?

As for the key point, she wasn't just a young girl who made several questionable choices, she freaking murdered another human being. People get played every day, they don't go around shooting people after it. This stopped being simply a case of her "making questionable choices in relationships" the moment she pulled the trigger.

I agree with most everything you said, but do keep in mind that she did take her own life too. In my 36 years on this earth, I've never seen or heard of a truly evil person taking their own life. It just doesn't happen. This was a case of scorn piled on top of all of the other issues in her life (and yes, some that she brought on herself) that became too much for her to cope with, probably causing her to snap.

As for your bold statement, don't be so sure. I've heard of several cases of love triangles, etc. going bad.
There was even a case of that here about a year or so ago. Girl broke up with boy. Boy went psycho stalker. Girl got R.O.. Girl started dating new guy. Ex confronted girl and new guy. Ex killed new guy in front of girl then killed himself.
Being scorned (goes for both genders) and emotions running wild can make people do some crazy s###.

The fact that she killed herself could have been one of guilt, sure. It also could have been panic or hell, who knows, since we know nothing about what was going inside her mind it may have all been planned out. That's the worst part about all of this is that we'll never know.

As for your comment about the triangles, while I agree that it does happen, it is most definitely not the norm. If that happened consistently enough to make it a valid excuse then 1/3 of this population would not be here right now.

Didn't Hitler commit suicide? Suicide is the most selfish act one can commit. Whether or not she was evil is isn't for me to say, but she was extremely selfish.

The hell earth do you live on? MANY stories about mass killings and then the killer taking their own life afterward.

What exactly does it take to be considered 'truly evil' to you?

I would believe this, except for the fact that she bought the gun soon before that event. It wasn't a spur of the moment thing. She planned it, clearly.

You still didn't read and comprehend my post. Let me try one last time. I never said that since she dated a pro athlete that she not have to pay her bills. I don't suggest financially laying down, to any woman, dating or married to a pro athlete. This young woman WAS paying her own rent and car note. She lived in a modest apartment WITH a roommate and had a Kia car payment.

She started dealing with Steve who sort of bought her an Escalade and an expensive apartment. A mature and smart woman would have not moved out of an apartment that she could afford, and into a much more expensive apartment without assuring that it was paid for by the man who initiated it. A mature and smart woman would not have taken an Escalade car payment from a man who initiated it, while also having a car payment on another vehicle.

She got a taste and glimpse of a world that she wanted to be part of and accepted all kind of mess to stay in it. Trust me, the VIP world of pro athlete's and celebrities is addicting. You go to a club where there's a line of people 40 deep. You walk to the front of the line, are immediately escorted in to the VIP section and given a free bottle of whatever you wish to drink.

You go to a restaurant where there are several people waiting for a table. The manager of the restaurant sits you at his special table and you can order whatever you want at no cost. You can call the hottest bar in town in advance, tell them who you are or are dating/married to and they will have an area blocked off for you and your friends.

You can call Jamie's (clothing store in Belle Meade) or a personal shopper at Macy's, tell them that you need something to wear to an event, memorial, etc. and in less than an hour, there's someone at your door with outfits for you to try on. You can call Publix or the owner of the neighborhood Subway and ask them to bring you your favorite subs to the house. In short, girlfriends and wives get trickle down special treatment and you get used to it. To lose that and go back to normal life just sucks, especially if you are a young party girl who likes to hang out. To go from VIP back down to standing in lines suck.

My good friend who dated a Pro Bowler from the secondary said it best, once when we were attending an all VIP event, "I just can't stand to wait in lines anymore!" I know it's annoying to "regular" people to hear this, but it's the brutal truth. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is. When I get free food, it makes me think how sad that there are homeless people who couldn't get a breadstick for free out of these places. When someone is going out of their way to be nice to me or treat me like I'm the one out there making tackles, etc., it does make me uncomfortable a lot of the time.

Not every female who dates or marries an athlete is a dumb, gold digging hooch. Steve McNair's wife came from an upper middle class family and she has her Master's Degree in Nursing and was a sorority girl in college. I adore Mechelle. Justin McCarin's wife is a dentist. I could go on and on, but I need to get going.

Waiting in line.. What's that? When I fine dine the restaurant calls ahead to find out what color socks I'm wearing that evening and they roll out the appropriately matching colored carpet..
