Have we had any confirmation that the gun she purchased was the gun used in the crime. I know the metro police arent saying much if any about anything, I'm just not getting the same coverage of this as you guys.

If she did buy the gun, there are only two scenarios.

    1) She bought it to protect herself. Which makes little sense. She was moving in with McNair, but do you need a gun for that. Probably not. And was she afraid of her boyfriend so much so, does not appear to be the case.

    2) She was going to end it. Highly likely.

But 2 means she had to know already they were not moving in together. And that the relationship was over. Which makes their hanging out together very odd.

So I cannot still piece this together. Unless she bought the gun after the DUI, which sounds doubtful.

Well, actually "a relative says she recently purchased a gun". There is no mention of direct evidence- like a registration- to confirm that she did.

Also, a relative (presumably the same one) says "Abdi says he does not believe Kazemi would have killed the former Tennessee Titans quarterback and herself.

Abdi didn't know what day of the week the gun was purchased or what type of gun it was.

"There was no way she was depressed and wanting to do this," he said. "She was so happy. ... She just had it made, you know, [with] this guy taking care of everything."

So the reference really is entirely speculative.

    Just to clarify....
If you are 21 and I sell you a gun, it's legal whether or not I have a Federal Firearms License (dealer license) or not.
To cover my behind, I'll require id from you and keep records of the transaction...but, as far as I understand, it's not 'required' in a private sale.

Maybe she wanted to protect herself from the ex boyfriend and didn't want to Steve to get involved. We all know Steve Stayed Strapped and she wanted to scare off the ex. Maybe the ex showed up, big confrontation.. and the rest is a setup.

I think we can all agree on something. Something about this doesnt seem right. :(

The espn story states that police told her neice that she bought a gun, but no press conference or statement saying she bought a gun. No other info, almost sounds like heresay to me. I for one am leaning towards the cop that pulled them over killed them, tried to cover it up, and police know that and are now trying to cover up the cover up as to not start a scandall. Maybe they figure lets just blame the girl she is dead it wont hurt her. Just talking wildly, i am on information overload and the shock of this with the lack of credible info is just driving me nuts.

More heresay, but funny to me.....
I don't have any reason to believe it would be the cop....yet, his 'ex' mother-in-law is right across the hall from me as I type.
I asked her why McNair didn't get a DUI during that arrest, she stated 'because it's Steve McNair'. I don't think she's too fond of him.

Are we talking about the DUI arrest in which Steve McNair was not convicted because the cop showed his buddies and made copies of it and the court threw out the case? Is this the same DUI/Cop we are talking about?
