It sounded like Orton leaving was a pretty sure thing. He doesn't like Cousins, they say.

CJ Henry said in an interview just the other day (video. I can find it if I search) that Memphis is still Xav's #1. Could easily change tomorrow though. I think he'll end up at Kansas also.

But I think Orton will go wherever Xavier goes. Memphis is now on his list just because of Xavier's interest.

Actually, Orton likes Cousins and wants to play with him. It's reportedly Xavier and Orton who don't want to play together.

Here's an excerpt from a Daniel Orton article written today at the Derby Festival Classic practice session: Kentucky recently got a commitment from five-star power forward DeMarcus Cousins, the No. 2-rated player in the country according to Rivals.com. Several recruiting observers have suggested Cousins and Orton may not be suited to play in the same frontcourt, but Orton quickly shot that down.

"We both actually have a good inside-outside game," he said. "We'd really complement each other well, also with Patrick (Patterson) and (Matthew) Pilgrim up there. It would be a good frontcourt."

Wall is a beast, so congrats Kentucky fans. Unfortunately, John Wall can't coach. So get used to Elite 8 exits.

Cal will hold the talent back there just like he did in Memphis.

Seriously? His teams have made eleven NCAA tournament appearances, including reaching the Sweet Sixteen seven times, the Elite Eight five times, the Final Four two times, and the championship game once.

2/5 in the elite 8 isnt bad. I mean out of 11 times of going to the big dance, he's made it to the sweet sixteen 7 times!!! that's a phenominal number. Out of 7 sweet sixteens, he's won 5 of them. That's pretty solid.

Caliparis problem wasn't that he can't coach. He can definitely coach. Its that he was at a program that played 30 cupcake games a year and by the time they got to the big dance, his teams were probably thrown off a lil by having real competition. Regardless of my theory, his tourney record is impressive.

There has never been a question if Cal can recruit. He was getting players like this in Memphis. It has always been if he can coach day in and day out against tougher competition, which he has never done in his career. But with WWW funneling players to UK, they will get all the one and dones they want.
