you know at the end of the day, no matter how many haters lendale has, he still is where he is. People hate on him for his size and for not having the exact mold of what an nfl player should look like yet his stats last year are there, regardless of any situation he was in. Pretty much, i'm sure Lendale loves his haters, cos its more people he gets to prove wrong and defy the odds and play good. lol. I give all our players my 100% back up and don't hate on any of the Titan players, win or lose. I've always been that way with Real Madrid, arguably the biggest soccer team in the world; since a young kid. Support the team you hold close to your heart, win or lose.

Anyways, I watched all the interviews and I really liked what I heard from both Nate Washington and Hawkins. Both seemed really determined to contribute to the team and compete with each other. I honestly hope to see Hawkins and Britt get a decent amount of game time this season.

Get that fatty out of here! I don't pay that guys salary so he can score only 15 tds! I could do so much better myself! And he's so fat and lazy. I can't believe I'm paying him so much money! If I pay a guy to do a job he just better do the absolute best at all times just like I do at my job!

Get his fat self out of here and let's go get Shawn Alexander! Now there's a winner!

What? You think I'm being an idiot? What?! Of course I personally pay his salary! Of course I never shirk my duties at work! Not even a little bit!

What? You think I'm full of it? Well forget you! I was an all-star offensive lineman at my 1A high school I know more about football than anyone!

LenDale, Vince need to get their lazy good-for-nothing butts out of here! And if CJ doesn't get 2000 yards this season cut him!

But yeah, get rid of that fatty who only scored 15 tds. He didn't help us win any of those games last year! And cut Vince too while you're at it!

    Signed:

A fat, lazy, good-for-nothing, I was a pee-wee all-star, inflated sense of self-importance because I believe I personally write all of the players' checks having, hypocritical, sitting on the couch beer-swiggin with my gut out, totally clueless Titans "fan."

My take on LenDale. Firstly he talks a lot of trash for a guy who is an average back at best, not sure why he has an over inflated ego. For a big guy he's soft, and I don't mean due to his fat, he just doesn't run with much power. He's very slow, which is understandable since he's weighs so much. But worst of all, he fumbles a lot for a big, strong running back. I guarantee he will not be resigned at the end of this season.

Sure, if you want to oversimplify the effect that one's genetic make-up has on biological metabolic pathways into, "Oh if he eats less and works out more, he'll lose weight," go for it. I'll grant you that. And, admittedly, this sudden change in weight is very suspect. Both points granted.

BUT WHO CARES?!?! I say again, one of the main reasons this team was as successful as it was last year was because our Red-zone problems were mostly gone. 2007 version of the offense was terrible mostly because we could not get into the endzone. Lendale White dragged us into the endzone several times a game when everybody in the stadium was knew that we were rushing. And the year after, everybody wants to say "Oh, well anybody can get into the endzone on a one yard carry." Apparently not. Now true, Lendale was the primary rusher in 2007, but thats not his job anymore. He his a spell/goalline back. Can he be a primary back? I don't really think so. Is he valuable to this team, even at the weight he was a year ago? YES! God in heaven yes. I don't understand the beef with Lendale white because there are game that WE DO NOT WIN WITHOUT Lendale White. He's a valuable asset to this team and I think that the idea that we should give up a 15 td rusher because he is overweight is moronic. If you think a player's weight is a reason to not have a player, then we don't draft Gerald Mcgrath, who is WAY too light to play MLB in the NFL, and we might not draft Jared Cook, who is WAY too light to block anyone.

And yeah, I was originally at the TOMB. However, your mindless obsession with the weight of someone who had 15 Tds and 3.9 yards per carry when he is actually coming into camp 20 lbs lighter than he was the year he had those same stats is completely illogical.

He's not that slow, but he's not a real power back either. If there is such thing as a "finesse" back LW is it. He has good footwork, and his vision is good, but I haven't seen him bowl anybody over in a while, which there is no excuse for him not to do at his weight.

Lendale White has 6 career fumbles. Adrian Peterson, meanwhile, has 13.

True, but one of them is absurdly fast with shades of Marshall Faulk and the other was an utter failure. Also, he was drafted the year we lost travis henry, I believe, and no one is arguing that LW is an every down back.

The fact that no other back had more than ten carries helps my point immensely. The fact that all these lighter more "in shape" backs are on our roster and yet still could not get any carries ahead of Lendale just proves how dumb it is to complain and moan about a back's weight. If he produces, so what?

Look, I'm not saying that Lendale White is the best thing since individually wrapped cheese slices. I'm not saying that he wouldn't be MUCH better if he returned to the same physique he had when he was at USC. I'm not saying that Javon Ringer won't beat him out this training camp. I'm not even saying that he'll be here next year. But he's a great back. And he's produced on the field, which 90% of these people drafted never ever do. And until you find someone else that is a Titan that can score 15 Tds in a season on mostly goal line sets AND spring you an 80 TD run, stop with the hate.

I want to play broken record here to say:

Scoring 15 touchdowns UNTOUCHED isn't impressive. Our offensive line scored those TDs. Not Lendale White. He just got the credit for them.

Well, Chris Henry couldn't have done it. It does take some quick feet, timing and vision which White has. But, I totally agree that most of his TDs have to be credited to the OL.

But someone explain to me this: the same OL, with Olson instead of Scott, couldn't get it done with White the previous season. Is it that Stewart, Amano and Roos improved? Is Scott, who was said to be more of a pass rush blocker, the difference?

this is nuts. the only reason LW is doing anything with his weight this year is because he wants to get paid next year. over the past couple of years, fisher has gone on recorded saying that he was upset with the weight GAIN of LW. this is the typical thought process of USC players now a days. "hey, i came from USC, i am the best ever...look at me, i can do anything"...then they fail. all of the higher profile players from usc fall on their faces when they hit the pros. LW is a chunky monkey..plain and simple.

and quite frankly, the people who use the "he scored 15 tds" comment are not very football smart. when you have a great line in the redzone, you can pretty much put anyone in there and they will score. if you watched any of the games, you saw holes open up bigger then the mississippi. football is won in the trenchs. not in LW scoring tds.

i think it would be an interesting stat to see LW and his production outside the 20 yard line. because i dont think it would be very good.

maybe it was that they improved...or maybe it was the fact that we had a decent qb this year that couldnt scramble for yards...maybe it was a better rb (CJ) in the back field that kept them honest.

Collins had very few TDs from inside the five. I can agree he might keep a safety honest, the Titans rarely disguised their intent. If you and I knew they were about to handoff to White, don't you think opposing defenses did as well?

And CJ was rarely on the field when White got the ball.
