What would you do if Jevon Ringer blows CJ out of the water?

I think CJ needs to always split some carries with another back. I don't think we flirt with giving him 300 carries in a season, he needs to be kept as fresh as possible. He had about 250 this past year I think, and that's not even including receptions, which I think he will get more of this year.

Yeah, I get nervous when I think of Johnson getting up to 300 carries. I'm not sure why, he seems pretty resilient when he's not getting stretch arm-stronged in piles during playoff games...

But really, has taken some shots and always popped right back up, but I just worry how long he can take it. I expect lendale white to return to his USC form soon. If he cuts a little more weight, he'll be a monster, and if he doesn't I really do think Ringer or Little could develop into a good #2 back. I still think its a strong possibility that we see a three back rotation develop this season. We have way too much potential in out RB corps and RB is such a relatively easy position to learn that I think we get some serious production outta johnson, white, sarge, and little/ringer.

Yeah I'm not saying give him over 300 carries but his role will get bigger to see if he can handle it. Because do we really need to over pay for a goal line back next year? No, we know LW is going to be asking for alot of $ when he becomes a FA.

I think Lendale will have to accept the role he plays for this team and ask for his pay accordingly. It's not gonna be feature back money, but it'll be a buck or two. He does have a valuable role to this team, you can't really dispute his red-zone production. He'll get payed slightly more than he's worth when we resign him, but he is invaluable as what we use him for. He's got great vision and when the blocking is on its game, he can bust some huge runs. When he's not indecisive, his feet are great. He's not really fumble prone, and he's an ok pass catcher. He's great for what we use him for. His biggest asset by far is his nose for the endzone, and he does that better than most big backs in the league.

If White has another 15 TD season he will think he is worth more than we are willing to pay, he will go to some team with a crappy OL and he will sink like a baby in a pool with a missing lock on the gate.

Doubtful. The stats don't lie and any team in the league can see it.

    CJ- 251 Att. 1228 yds 9 TD
    LW- 200 Att. 773 yds 15 TD
and a hundred of the yards came off of two carries vs the lions and the chiefs. His general production is a lot lower.

He is a short yardage back. He's not gonna get premier RB money. He's gonna get specialty back money, and he'll get it. Probably from us.

Forgive him and be very happy for him.

I'd constantly be looking out for white rabbits though.

I'd prefer him at WR but he did say it's better to give than to receive.:wink2:

If he outperformed him, I wouldn't care. Why would I? We'd have two badass backs.
