That's what I heard Adam Schein say on Sirius today. He and Solomon Wilcotts were answering a call from a fan who was down on our draft. Schein loves some of the players, and Jeff, but never really favors the team as a whole. Usually picks us to be third in the division, sometimes fourth.

Anyway, he said he loved our draft and gave it a B+/A-. Said Britt was exactly the receiver we needed. Said Cook would be an animal here. Solly said people didn't get the Marks pick and took his time to explain to listeners that Jim Washburn was the best defensive line coach in the NFL BAR NONE. Said everyone he gets plays better (KVB, Tony Brown) and he gets who he wants. Said the Titans saw the Marks before the injury. Said people will know him soon enough. Went on similarly about Munch. Schein gushed on Ringer and said something about our backfield with Johnson and White being ... I don't know what he used, but the gist was a great backfield got even better.

Oh I remember. Schein said the Titans got 13 players and lauded adding Mitch King and Dudley Guice. King in particular, though.

I doubt it. It's common sense if Crabtree were there we would of taken him. I don't think they need a spot on the big board for him. I would probably say Maclin was #1 and Heyward Bey or Hakeem Nicks #2..

    None whatsoever, unfortunately.

And I disagree, SureThing. I think teams rate everyone regardless of where you pick in the order, even the champions.

I would think it's no question Crabtree would have been one, with Maclin or Nicks second. I think it would have been Maclin, though. Mainly because they acknowledged looking to both trade up and back when he fell. I can buy that they wanted Britt above Nicks. Britt I think has the higher ceiling.

The only way the Titans don't rate or bother to make a place for Crabtree on their board is if they took him off completely for medical or character red flags. But never because a player is "too good for our position."

exactly. if he falls to 16 or 17 you can bet we're looking at the board to see just how much of a higher grade he has over some of the other top rated guys.

    I disagree
I know teams will remove players from their boards for character reasons and other red flags...but I also feel that they will remove them because of a specific system(conference/stats...a combination of all these) the player was in.

Titans drafted Kevin Dyson over Randy Moss in the 1998 1st round draft.
    <table id="sortable_table_id_0" class="wikitable sortable sortable" style="width: 100%;"><tbody><tr><td>
    </td> <td>
</td></tr></tbody></table>thats proof WR's picked later on can be way better than the top names.

College is not the same as the NFL, it's who can make the better NFL receiver. And i think Britt will out shine his draft class.

Titans passed on Moss because of legal troubles, and so did several other teams. He fell to the Vikings at pick #21 - Percy Harvin slipped because of a positive drug test to a nearly identical position in #22, and he also landed with the Vikings. Eleven years later, is history repeating itself?

Well if it is then Harvin will play with Tom Brady some day.
