Terrible idea. White wouldn't add anything to the team.

Frank Wycheck was absolutely all over the pick. I was doing some work last draft day and I was on my way home when I kept hearing Frank Wycheck talk about this Chris Johnson kid. I honestly hadn't paid much attention to college football or draft coverage this time around because I've usually been displeased with our early draft picks. When I heard Wycheck saying this, I was

I can't say that I thought we would draft him, but once I heard of his blazing fast speed and saw some of his highlights I was extremely pleased.

I have faith in our front office to make the decisions in the best interest of the franchise after seeing success from last years #1 and #2 picks. There were only two players in the 2008 NFL draft who made it to the Pro Bowl. Chris Johnson was one of them... that's very impressive. We can look at the past, and talk about all of the mistakes we've made, but overall I think our front office has done one hell of a job.

    Matt Jones-played QB at Arkansas
Antwaan Randle El-played QB at Indiana
    Brad Smith-played QB at Missouri
Hines Ward-played some QB at Georgia
    Arnaz Battle-Played QB in college
    Chansi Stuckey-played QB at Clemson
    Isiah Stanback
    Drew Bennett QB UCLA
    Anquan Boldin
    Joshua Cribbs
    Patrick Crayton
    Rasheed Mendenhall
    Arnez Battle

Not all these have had the most steller career, but I think this proves somewhat of a point. There are more converts than you think.

The point wasnt did they do this or that primarily, it is that they served as a multicraft player. And you say "most" of them sucked, I say most of them where journeyman WR who contributed to teams and helped get "W's". Isnt that what counts? Some of the better contributing WR or player at any other position for that matter was more of a contributor than a recored setter.

I've thought about it and I would probably be OK with White in round 2 but round 1 is WAAAAAY to high IMO.
