I'd give a 1st and 3rd for him I know we wont but If we did I wouldn't be upset because with our late pick its not much of a loss.

Even if we did give up a first and third rounder I doubt they would ever come to an agreement on a contract. He wants big money........or would his current contract be carried over to us or would it be restructured?

The 1st and 3rd seems a no-brainer part. The catch is whether we can sign him on a deal that fits within the Titan's budget. I want a reciever like Boldin, but I doubt we're even close to the amount of money he wants and likely aren't on his radar.

Keep in mind that the Titans pick late which means a 1st and 3rd for us would be beaten out by a 1st and 3rd by 29 other teams.

That being said, I'd wait and see if he's still available after the draft and maybe offer a 1st and 3rd next year.

His current contract would be carried over, but that is why he has been asking for a trade, because he wants to restructure to recieve a Fitzgerald type deal. His existing contract is only 2 yrs old I think, but if you didn't restructure his contract and make him a to 5-10 paid WR he would balk. I personally would be willing to give a 1st, 3rd, and maybe 3rd or 4th next year for him, but I think we have to be willing to bite the cap bullet to resign him, knowing we have quite a few big name contracts comming up in the next 1-2 years.

I don't know how you pass on this. It would give us Washington, Boldin, Gage, Hawkins as the receiving core. Along with our TEs and CJ, how the hell can you not make this deal? Good God if we don't at least try I swear to god i'm gonna break something, like the FO's face.

If the whole point of him wanting to be traded is he wants 10 million a year, then I don't see it happening. 10 mil per year is what we were willing to pay big Al to keep him here, and I seriously doubt the team thinks Boldin is equal to Haynesworth, plus a 1 and 3. In other words, even if Boldin were an unrestricted FA, I still don't think they would sign him to deal that pays him 10 million.

I seriously doubt we would get Boldin. I would love to have him here but he will want too much money.

That would be perfect, if we had a QB that we could trust for the long haul.
