Lindley's amazing. I was hoping he'd declare this year so we'd have a shot at him.

He's got a chance to be the best CB in the draft next year.

I'm glad he didn't. The Kentucky defense is going to be killer next year.

    Lindley is no Eric Berry.

I think it will take some time for everything to work out, but I think he will be able to motivate the players much more. That is something that the Big Phil had lost the ability to do. Hopefully someone will step up and play big and they will have some leadership, which is another thing the have been lacking. WIthout a doubt Kiffin can recruit, but if these little things become true, and they can get the whole QB situation worked out things will go great. Anyone else hope that B.J. Coleman is the starter I really think this kid can be really good with some time under center and game experience.

I wish people watched Georgia Tech. Seriously. MB will be better than EB. Two different positions, but still.
His numbers rival Berry's already. Well, until people mention interception yards- but I judge DBs by their defense, not what they do with the ball. He plays off the receiver too, meaning he comes over to get his numbers rather than have them come to him.

    72 tackles
    0 forced fumble
    7 interceptions

    vs

93 tackles (in 1 less game played, mind you)
    1 forced fumble
    7 interceptions

He actually had a better year last year than Berry.

I think people look too much in to how dynamic Berry is once he gets an interception rather than how good he is in coverage. Though- understand, I'm not taking anything away from Berry. He's great. I just believe Morgan Burnett is better and will be better heading in to the draft.
And Lindley is very solid, but doesn't belong in the conversation here, IMO. Not AS dynamic or as good all around as these two guys.

They play two different positions, so they shouldn't even be compared.

    Not quite.

Eric Berry: 8.5 TFL, and 3 sacks.
Morgan Burnett: 7 TFL, and 0 sacks.

As for Burnett being better going into the draft, I don't think that will be anywhere near the truth. Berry has the luxury of learning under Monte Kiffin for at least a year. That is going to pay huge dividends for him.

Berry is a better athlete and will be far better coached, and will be drafted as such.

Berry is a Safety, but could easily play CB without missing a beat.
