i'm going to play devil's advocate once again
he didn't have reliable targets, or a complimentary scheme
no QB is going to succeed in those conditions

I think it had more to do with his attitude, low IQ, inability to understand offensive schemes, inability to understand DEFENSIVE schemes, ego, and to top it off, he doesn't keep his composure.

I could keep going, but, I'm just going to stop here.

    %@#!%@#!%@#!%@#! it, I agree.

Vince's best WR target = Drew Bennett.

Vince best RB = Travis Henry.

    Norm Chow = Vince fail.

Just tell him to run. That's his best chance at becoming a better passer. Scare the D so much with run, that WR's will be wide open. With CJ, I think that's a real possibility for Vince. If he can't succeed with this Titans team, he won't anywhere.

Do I miss Vince? Sure do. I miss the ultra talented, dynamic, make a play when it matters most, refuse to lose player that arrived on the Titans doorstep in 2006. It's too bad the coaching staff here couldn't handle taking those talents and traits and running with them and building this offense around its most talented athlete. Instead, they chose to strip the cupbard bare of receiving talent in 2007, and focus the offense on a three yards and a cloud of dust running game "complemented" with a passing game that often times didn't even look professional.

When that didn't work so well, they fired the OC and brought in a new one which requied the QB to learn a new passing offense and new mechanics at the same time. So, wow, surprise, surprise --when that unfinshed process made its debute on opening day, the QB, who was still "thinking" about where to go with the ball and where to put his feet had a bad day. And the crowd, press and coaches, to one degree or another, blamed the QB for getting excessively frustrated. He can have his "share" of the blame, but you have to be smoking the two-toned weed to not realize the blame for what occured that day does not stop with the player. Now we'll just have to see if the damage is irreperable or if all concerned can figure out how to hit the reset button and get this thing right for the future.

It's time for Fisherball to enter the 21st century.
