Well first of all it is Kemp. And since you are so into numbers I will play the numbers game with you. Willie Kemp is averaging a whopping 3 points this year. He is shooting 28% from the field and his three point percentage is lower at 26%...not to mention he can't make free throws to save his life. So my question is what makes you believe that he can make any shot if he's left open?? He has seven points so far in the tournament, thats really convincing.

Ok, so Memphis has five players averaging 9+. Thats great. Then we have a giant dropoff. After nine ppg we they have a 6ppg, then four, then one. Thats depth right there!!! Meanwhile, Missouri has their four go to guys with 8+...after that they have three with 6ppg and four with 3ppg, and all average at least two rebounds in their limited minutes. Another reason why Missouri doesnt have anyone that puts up crazy numbers is because they rotate twelve guys, all get in 5 minutes or more a game...

Sallie can drop 20 any night, huh?? I don't understand where you are coming from with that statement sir. He has one game this year where he has scored more than twenty. That was in the tournament against Cal State Northridge or whatever...his thirty five was impressive sure, but it was against a crap team, whom they almost lost to. Before that his highest scoring game was 13 points. So it looks to me like he can't drop 20 on any night, because he hasnt even done it twice in his career. You are basing your statement on one game, which is stupid. And it isnt just Sallie, Taggart Dozier, and Anderson all only have one 20 point game each this year, lol. Seems to me you have no idea what you are talking about. You wanted to play the numbers game so i played it with you, and for the most part both of your comments were completely wrong, nice try though. Lol.

I don't think you understand the Memphis system. Or basketball. If you have 5 guys averaging over 10pts a game, OF COURSE there's a drop-off. lol And yes, Sallie is very capable of scoring 20 if need be. He scored 13 on 6 shots vs Maryland. Again, understand this team doesn't need 2 guys (cough-mizzou) to score 16+ a night. They distribute and all score.

Memphis' 5th leading scorer averages as many points as Mizzouri's 3rd best. And Kemp (always call him Kent by accident) hits key 3's. It's what he does. Again, I don't think you've seen but maybe 1 Memphis game, tops.

You made a comment that was silly. Accept it and move on.

Exactly...which is why your statement of Memphis having depth is completely wrong. They depend on six players. Everyone else on the squad is practically non-existent.

That's awesome that he averages as many as Missouri's third leading scorer lol. Who is he scoring all of these points against again?? Oh yeah that's right Tulsa, UAB, Drexel, Fairfield, Chatanooga, Umass, Southern Methodist(Ooooh their good), Tulane, Southern Miss, and a few other crap schools. So he's doing all of this scoring while Mizzou's guys are scoring respectable point totals against real schools in real conferences for the majority.

    No, I didn't.

So at first you went from "they depend on 2 players" to "they depend on 6 players". And yes, your comment about Memphis relying on 2 players while Mizzou is "balanced" was extremely silly.

Especially considering Memphis has far more scoring options than Mizzou.

Memphis does depend on 2 players far more than anyone else on their team, but in general they don't rely on their bench, just their starting five and a few off the bench to perform well. Therefore they rely on 6 players as well.
Tell me, what will Memphis if somehow Missouri shuts down Evans?

Uh...let one of the other 4 guys that can score up to 20 pts do so? Tell me what Mizzou does when Memphis (with a great defense) shuts down whoever their top 2 guys are? They'd be hurting far more.

You're comparing the Cavaliers to the Lakers right now. Cavs might be able to beat them, but saying they have as much talent or scoring options is absurd.

I really do not know the game will be decided on whose D shows up. Both of the teams are very athletic and fast so it just depends who plays D....IMO.

Mizzou could beat them, I have no doubt about it. I just don't agree with the whole Memphis depending on 2 guys while Mizzou is more balanced thing.
