    Horror... meh. :)

I'm sure classic horror is much better, but I can't remember seeing a good horror movie regardless of the time period.

Did you get dragged to see The Unborn? It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Sorry to hear that. No I wouldn't pay to see The Unborn. Definitely not into the lame j-horror remakes of today..

I stick to Green Hills or Belcourt, depending on what I'm seeing. You can get a good live show at the Belcourt on occassion too.

i try not to watch Horror movies with special effects overload.

best Horror movies are ones that could actually happen. Serial Killer chopping people up etc... it's sad when they need computer animation effects to make something scary.

As bad as the Blair Witch project was it seemed real at times and even scared me a little.

the last few times I went to Hollywood 27, I walked out
either due to crappy film or audio presentation

on a whim one day, I decided to try out the Bell Forge 10 in Hickory Hollow (behind Outback) because the changed to DLP projection and upgraded their audio package

I saw Iron Man there and was very impressed
there was no usual film 'lint' and the surround was crisp, accurate, and audible without being overly loud.

it's a small theater which helps with the presentation

Belcourt is the best by far. Its historical, you can drink a beer, and you can watch indie/foreign/midnight movies. The seats are a pain in the *** but I would much rather pay to see a movie there than Opry Mills.

Also, its a 3 minute walk from my apartment...so thats a plus.

I've only been to one theather in Nashville and that was the Regal IMAX in Opry Mills. I'm actually taking my daughter to see Aliens vs. Monsters in IMAX 3D this Saturday. I'm actually looking forward to it.
