Whenever I see on the several Mock Drafts on out there on NFL Network, ESPN, etc. I see the Titans getting either a CB or a DT or DE. Why is that so. Yes I know we lost Haynesworth but I thought we had an already deep D-Line??? And with the CB situation, isn't it possible to pick one up on the second round? I mean this years combine for the CB position wasn't so hott vs. the WR's.

I saw one Mock Drafter named Davis, he had us getting Kenny Britt. It might not happen but it put a smile on my face. Dudes and duddetts Titans need high caliber receivers along with our tough physical defense. That has Superbowl written all over it! to me...I mean it seems almost every team has a receiving corps except us.

    What's you guys opinions??

My opinion is to trade that high pick (or picks) with the Cards for Boldin. We don't draft WR's well, at least in the 3rd and on rounds.

Reading a mock draft is like predicting what your wife is going to get upset with you about next. In other words, it's an exercise in futility.

Doesn't keep most of us from looking at them anyway, though. What else are we gonna do? It's the offseason.

exactly, its just frustrating to hear and see analyst talking about how we need D line and O line ppl and clearly there is a need for depth at WR. Like we just are solid in that category.

    Well...

It's quite simple actually. We just lost our best player in free agency. The player around which our dominant Super Bowl caliber Defense was built. So the first thing everyone's gonna think in a mock draft is DT. Second, since there aren't too many first rnd quality DT's this year, there COULD be a DE. Both KVB and Kearse are free agents after next season and both are up there in age. There are a handful of DE's that will go in rnd 1 so if one slips, we could take him. Harper's play has been declining and it's doubtful the Titans will keep him past next season so it makes sense to draft his replacement this year. If there is a CB we like, we could take him and still get a good WR in rnd 2. With our free agent aquisition, we can always start Gage and Wash and pickup a slot guy in rnd 2 or 3.

While there are a legit 5-6 first rnd calibe WR prospects, a lot of mocks won't give us one for one simple reason. We very rarely take a WR in rnd 1. Kevin Dyson was the last and when was he drafted???

The Titans don't feel they need a crazy good WR. Afterall, didn't get beat up the Steelers in the regular season? Didn't we move the ball with ease against the vaunted Ravens D? All without a 'real' WR corp. So the FO is thinking...why do we need a first rnd caliber WR again???

This team is built around a dominant defense and a dominant run game. A lot of mock drafters take this into account. Frankly, I'm surprised more mockers aren't giving us a RB with White's likely departure after this coming season.
