Well, at least if we add Washington and Holt, we'd have upgraded our speed, but I'm just worried about Holt -- I don't think he has any knees left, and I'd really hate to get screwed by the Rams twice.

Maybe a fourth this year OR a fifth this year for Holt, that could turn into a third based on performance, and if we had to give a fourth or a third next year, then we'd get the fifth back.

I would almost rather give up the 2nd round pick to get Moore than a third for Holt. (Then trade Scaife. :grrhee:).

I actually know how to fix the receiver problem...if you really want to know.

Let me preface by saying I'm serious about trading for Braylon Edwards AND I heard John Clayton on ESPN today say that Browns officials at the combine when approached by other teams said EVERYone on the team was up for trade for the right price.

Basically the solution is we get two guys now.

We get Braylon Edwards by using Bo Scaife, as I've suggested. We offer Bo as a third round pick, and offer next year's first or second depending on Edwards' performance in '09. We're not out of a pick this year, and if it's a second and a third, it should amount to a late first round pick. If it's a first, we've given first and third value for a disgruntled player. Plus they fill the void left by Winslow, which I think Scaife would adequately replace there.

Then we go ahead and use our 2nd round pick on Lance Moore (or you can insert Washington or Holt, but I wouldn't.)

Then our WRs would be Edwards/Moore/Gage. Only issue is we would have to extend Edwards pretty soon (due to make $4.55M next year, then he's a FA). Lance would need an immediate extension. If we could 'Cortland Finnegan' him, that would be great. I think we could have Edwards and Moore for less than the price of Moss, T.O., maybe a bit more than Fitz.

Holt/Moore/Gage probably works, too, but again, worried about Holt's knees.

Then we would still have picks 1, 3, etc. to address other needs.

If everyone on the team is available I don't see why we don't look at Shaun Rogers, he can clog a hole, even if he is a lazy *******.

Braylon Edwards as in Braylon "dropped more balls than the Titans WRs" Edwards??

Cuz he's a lazy SOB and will want like 2/3 the money Al got when he's maybe worth 1/3. I'd rather a late round draft pick than Shaun Rogers. I'd rather "Mookie" Johnson, really.

The same. I dunno, but after his 16TD season, I'd call it a fluke. Maybe that was a fluke, too, but I'd be happy with the average.

Don't the Browns typically throw the ball 40 times a game or something?

Factor in two 63-55 games against Cincinnati per season and you have all of Braylon's success. I'd prefer Washington..

No doubt..actually I'd be happy just to see Washington, Holt or Edwards play for us.
