    :grrr:

I really don't see anyone that agrees with you in this thread. I have no idea why it's so difficult for you to understand that almost everyone can make a differentiation between hunting and dog fighting.

Although many of your posts can be controversial, I've generally liked a lot of your posts on this forum and have agreed with some of your points that aren't agreed with by the majority. But I've lost all kind of respect for your opinions and posts because of this thread. I know you don't care, but I'm just saying.

It's common. People don't want to believe they're wrong. They don't want to see flaw in something else and then understand that something they support is just as bad.

And until they become open minded, they'll deny deny deny and make excuses as to why the similar thing they view as ok is ok, and why the similar thing they originally thought was terrible is so much different.

Flooding/killing the earth for religious reasoning = ok! Killing masses such as jews for religious reasoning = evil!
Killing a group of people in an act of terrorism = terrible! Killing a group of people in the act of terrorism as a response to terrorism = OK!

It's the same pattern. People only see what they want to see. You can show them all the similarities possible, but in the end they've trained themselves to be accustomed to one form and against the other. And that's the way it always will be. Expecting these types to actually analyze their own thoughts would be asking way too much.

No. I'm speaking of people doing the SAME or very similar act. Someone defending their life is in the act of defense, whereas the one killing is in the opposing act.

This might be too hard for me to explain. Just as killing for sport isn't killing something because it attacked you. There are different intentions.

Actually, no. I'm the guy that analyzes my own opinions along with others. There have been many times (as in this topic with me reaping the benefits of cow torture for a good steak) where I figure out my original stance wasn't very logical, so I change it or acknowledge the flaws. Did the same with religion.I don't continue in my hypocrisy though.
