So in other words the only suitable vacation destination in the entire world is the African Safari? And anyone who would rule out Maui as a vacation is a lunatic dude

I don't particularly care about theme parks, shows or buildings either. The good ol' USA has far more to offer than that stuff. This is a huge country with a bit of everything as far as nature and animals go..
If you don't go, you will never know.

Gotta agree with the Florida comment though. It's nicer than TN, but you can go to Jamaica, Cancun, Bahamas, etc for just a tad more money. Since knowing that, I've only gone to florida for Disney World...

But in Disney world, you can visit 7 countries within an hour or so. :)

Does that include whales, dolphins and coral reefs? How about swimming with manta rays?
Are canyons out, too? How about standing twice as high as the clouds in the crater of a volcano? (there's that word again).
How about ancient Polynesian culture? An entire mythology that isn't Greek or Roman?
There are no theme parks, and very little in the way of shows (unless you count Tihati's luaus, which I don't) and yet we still remain the top island vacation spot in the Pacific.

    Baby steps kid.

Most of us would love to visit a wildlife reserve.Yet seeing a snake eat a monkey or a lion make a kill is something that we accept is part of nature but not something to get a boner over.
    :suspect:
