He said it will never be compared to Crysis. I showed him it's constantly being compared, from 2 years ago to 2 weeks ago.

I've never seen Crysis so I am not saying one way or another which looks better, but fact remains it is being compared...a lot.

Alright, well I suppose it isn't hard to find a few morons on the web. Look up crysis, and then you'll understand.

I think you guys can squabble about this 'till the cows come home. But those with review code of the game have said that KZ2 is one of, if not the, best looking game of this new generation (one I read was a PC fan/reviewer who usually poo-poos console shooters). That doesn't make it fact, but it does give more credence to all arguments that haven't had a chance to play the review codes on an HD television.

BTW, I don't know why Crysis is being compared to KZ2. I've watched the game played for a decent amount of time on an Athlon 64 X2 (re: it was a crazy *** computer :ha:), and while it looks fantastic, it's probably not the best looking game of this generation so far. Even from less than steller quality videos, KZ2 weapons, character physics and animations, and lighting all look better to me. Like Gloat said, FC2 on a good computer, Uncharted running on 1080p are probably the main competitors, and it will be a hard argument because those two have vibrant rich coloring (which I prefer), where-as KZ2 has the now popular grainy, metallic grey colors everywhere. Hell, Resident Evil 5 might be in the running for graphics of the year too the way it's shaping up.

    RE5 does look good.

    I have FC2, haven't played it yet.

And I've never seen Crysis in action.

Crysis got a little too much hype IMHO. It looks really good, but I thought it was kinda pedestrian gameplay wise (I know that doesn't really matter for this argument, but still).

Far Cry 2 looks good for consoles, Gun. But the really good stuff is on the PC.

But that is true for most games, or so I hear (I don't play PC games).

Yeah, I wasn't really impressed with the FC2 visuals in my brief play-through of the game. So I'll have to assume that it looks way much better on the PC. I wish I hadn't bought this game, though... I got so bored after playing for a few hours that I haven't played again.

I know it's pre-rendered, but it looks like the game will be well-written with some great, epic drama (something I thought the first one lacked, even though it tried so hard).
