Harper Says Things Need to Change for Titans to be the Best

I'll refer to my previous post in another thread about a Fisher coached team never winning the Super Bowl.

 

Maybe he didn't like the way the coaches prepared the team. He was talking about "game like situations". That is not a player but the way the whole team practiced.

We have seen how teams play flat coming off a bye week. Maybe fish needs to change how we approach the bye week better so that we are not so sloppy. I think harper is on to something.

 

why is he trying to throw someone under the bus now? its not like he is the greatest play maker himself and the guy cant hardly stay heathy. but one thing is right about what you guys have said in this thread, something needs to change on the offense.

 

im starting to see that, Fisher seems soft at times with the players. yelling at them on the sideline for 3 seconds after they commit a 15 yard penalty is not going to make the player change. I liked that he benched Jmac for poor play but he needs to bench them for stupid mistakes also. 13 penalties is way to many in a game this big. something needs to change.

 

I dont' think he's throwing any one individual under the bus. I'm sure he's talking about the team...which he himself is ultimately part of.

No one certain individual caused that fiasco Saturday. That was a team effort.
Other than ensuring LW protects the ball and KFC doesn't make anymore boneheaded throws like that, it's all about discipline, which no one seemed to have the day before yesterday.

 

Collins had an awsome game saturday. there wasn't anything bonehead about collins and the overall throws he made with the exception of maybe two deep balls

 

Clean house huh? From week 2-15 we were 9th in scoring offense. Isn'
t that the primary role of an offense scoring points?

Better targets? We all know the WR position is the weak position on the team.


Crisp passer? You mean like vince young? How about joey harrington? Carr? Who in the flying hell out there is a "crisp passer"? What fantasy are you living in? Kerry was one of the best QBs in the playoffs. Hardly nobody throws better.

If you were a giant fan you would be looking for a new QB?

 

Collins bonehead play.


It was 3rd and 8 and he had a guy in his face. What should he have done?

Taken a sack so we can then punt?


Thrown the ball away and get a grounding penalty so we can punt?


Throw the ball up and give your WR a chance at catching it?


Was it a good play? No but there were few options he had no time. the result of the play was like a great punt and the ravens had the ball at their own 10. That play really didn't hurt us at all.

 

Ravens have a good defense, an INt or Sack is bound to happen at some time. but White and Crumpler should have tucked the ball in and gave us points.

It seems the Ravens coach have taught those guys how to hit players to knock the ball out, it's Fishers job and the RB coaches job to have them ready for all of that little stuff that shouldnt be an issue but was. We played on a playoff level Saturday but made preseason screw ups.

 

Fisher is definitely too soft with some players...

Fish:"Hey Rob, do you think you can kick a 40 yard field goal? It's kind of important, and it's 4th and 8."

Rob: "Nah, I don't feel comfortable with that,"

Fish: "Oh okay Rob. We'll go for it. 4th and 8 isn't too bad."
