    Proof?

At present we are 7th in the nfl in scoring offense and 2nd in the afc. That is the objective right to score points? We are averaging 25.5 points per game.

    How about turnover stats?

These are the top 5 QBs in the nfl in passing yards. The number next to them is how many passes they throw per int.

    Brees-36
    warner-42
    p.Manning-40
    Cutler-35
    Mcnabb-47

Want to know how many passes our QB throws for each int? 59!

We have 2 RBs who have one lost fumble for every 196 carries!

Both those stats are the best in the whole nfl.

    The bottom line:

    7th in scoring offense
    3rd in fewest turnovers(tied for 1st since week 2)
    6th in rushing offense
    1st in rushing TDs

    What more do we want?

I think one of the more impressive stats remains the red zone efficiency.

Right now, the Titans score a TD 66% of the time they are in the red zone. Only the Colts at 69% have a better percentage. Overall, the Titans score 93% of the time they are in the red zone.

That, along with the turnover ratio, is a big reason the Titans are where they are.

My favorite stat for this team is sack differential.

Through 13 games we have recorded 35 sacks and given up 8. No team in the last 10 years has given up 10 or less sacks in a season. That would be an amazing feat if we could keep that intact.

I heard the commentators mention yesterday that Roos is the only LT in the NFL to have started every game and not given up a sack. If he doesn't make the Pro Bowl that is a travesty.

The penalties hurt us yesterday, but we are avoiding long 3rd down situations for the most part because we aren't having negative plays on 1st and 2nd down.

I think one of the most efficient offenses is the best way to describe us. At times our offense looks bad so I wouldn't say we're a top 5 offense overall. In terms of how our defense is playing I think our offense might be the best for the style of ball we need to play.

I'd agree with top 10 whole heartedly, top 5 may be pushing it.

We are, however, getting all that we can ask out of the players that we are using. The efficiency really is impressive.

One thing to consider here is what the Titans need from their offense. The Titans total yards could have taken a huge spike the last two games but they pretty much shut down most the Lions game and the fourth quarter yesterday. The goal at that point was to protect the football and eat clock.

Teams like the Saints are often in a shoot-out with their opponents which means they have to generate a ton of offense to have a shot to win.

Our defense and Chris Carr are hurting our offensive stats... we keep getting too short of a field to put up good yards, and we have to just settle for putting up points. Oh well...

RollTide - that stat is misleading. The QBs you listed not only throw the ball a lot, but they also take many chances down field. On the other hand, the Titans offense consist of mainly short passes to TEs and RBs.

Again, I don't want to take any credit away from the Titans offense, but facts are facts - the Titans have played some really bad defensive teams this season and that helps the stats. They will struggle greatly if they get to face a team like the Ravens or Steelers in the playoffs.

People think the Titans are the only team that plays weak teams. Giants, Jets, Steelers, and everybody else only plays against powerhouses, so our record and stats don't mean as much...

To be fair, we do play the two worst teams in the league (Detroit and Cincy), and three more games against teams that have been pretty terrible this season (Jags, KC, Jags). We've certainly beaten some good teams, but we've got plenty of cupcakes in there too. That's not even counting houston.
