Nah. I tried to get a real close photo and they just kept hopping away.

Some of the males - look like the leader of the groups - are massive though.

Just wait. When you come drunk home at night, they'll be waiting for you. A nice little roo-kick.

A lot more interesting than deer. If it weren't for the Invasive Species Act, I'd have you ship a couple of them to Maui.

I wonder what is that grey "hill" behind the roos in the first pick.
Stones? or roos taking a nap?

lol, stones. Hundreds of rabbits are burrowed in there and others around there.

  8. Did you take that picture while putting another shrimp on the barbe?

I can imagine those guys playing havoc with any attempts at vegetable gardening. How common are kangaroo? How often would a typical city dweller see one? If you go for a drive in the country is seeing a roo invariable or is it a rare occurence. We've got plenty of deer in Canada, but it's actually rare that you get a glimpse of one.

Do roos make much noise? My sister lives next to an emu farm... and I was shocked to find out they're noisy *******s (rhymes with gastards). The emu make a drumming noise inside their chest... it's not what you'd expect from a bird. It's a little disconcerting.

Any platypus about? I want platypus candids.
