    Some of the best receivers are mid to late round picks. I want a dynamic wr but I don't want to mortgage the future.

    It's not like were going to use a first round pick on a receiver anyway.

    that's such a farce.

    of the top 21 in receiving yards this year there are 9 first round picks and 6 second round picks. then there's jason witten(3rd) brandon marshall(4th) terrell owens(3rd) tj houshmandzadeh(7th) and steve breaston(5th).

    3 out of 21 were second day picks.

    Because you have to continually invest to get a defense great. The Ravens understand that, they spend over half of their 1st round picks on defense. Bulluck and Harper are not going to last forever, and it is concievable that AH gets away.

    The Eagles would ask for more than RW got. Maybe a 1st and a 2nd.
    CJ is a cancer (who isn't even playing well), Boldin isn't getting traded (and is hurt), and RW isn't anything special, and he got a massive package. Plus, all 3 would likely require a huge raise that would eat our cap up. Boldin might be worth it, not the other 2.

    the Cardinals were NEVER shopping Larry Fitzgerald, and wouldn't trade Boldin for just a 1st and a 3rd...

    You saw what the Cowboys had to give up for Roy Williams, and hes having a disappointing season. Boldin and Fitzgerald are emerging as 2 of the top receivers in the league, obviously it wouldn't be as simple as just 2 draft picks, or we and 31 other teams would of done it.

    With all the draft picks we waste on busted players, i think it worth biting the nail 1 season and give our picks away for a proven WR. Our D isnt going to flop in 1 season, we could get a WR and keep working on the D the follwoing season.

    Titans need to be on the phone during the draft and make something big happen.

    Someone mentioned how the Ravens spend thier picks on the D, but look at their offense! they have nothing! Soon our offense is only going to be VY and CJ. we need more weapons.

    nothing says the titans won't draft a WR early but WR is not a priority when Fisher builds a team. he wants a strong defense and a good running game. Then as the QB matures, he'll get a TE and then he'll get a WR as the final piece.

    We're getting the final pieces now so just give it time. fisher's done a pretty good job of building this team so far. he's done it twice for us after all...

    What proven wide receiver are you seeing out there that we could of gotten for a reasonable price? Only 1 Wide out was legitimately being shopped, Roy Williams, and we would of had to give up all 7 of our picks just to out bid the cowboys.

    you act like every year we gain absolutely nothing from the draft.

    Michael Griffin, Vince Young, LenDale White, Jacob Ford, Jason Jones, Chris Davis, Stephen Tulloch, and Cortland Finnegan are all players that were picked by the Titans in the last 3 seasons that have made impacts with the team.

    Would you be willing to give up 4 or 5 of these guys for Roy Williams who's numbers have decreased the past few seasons and has shown character issues? I wouldn't.

    You want us to be like the Cowboys right? Trade our picks every year and get the big name guys so we can get some recognition and have the all mighty #1 receiver? Well ask yourself this, how many playoff games have the Cowboys won the last 12 years?

    2 teams that have (or had) above average WR corps

    Cincinnati = 0-6
    Detroit = 0-5
    Cleveland = 2-3
    Indy = 3-2
    NYJ = 3-2
