Well I apologize I don't agonize over the avatar.......I will let you have the the " my picture is cool...yours stinks" battle because quite frankly a picture is a picture........as far as being a "noob" this isn't x box and I don't live in my parent's basement so I will not acknowledge that as an insult......it wasn't really an attack per se i was just going with the prison skit you setup..... as far as being a bandwagon fan, I am not.....I have been a titans fan ever since they came to Nashville and will always be a fan of the Titans and I love listening to Jacksonville fans still complain about their 14-2 year when the team to beat them that year beat them 3 times....you know who that was?


As far as you being the "anti-homer"....that has nothing to do with Vince....it has to do with giving the kid a fair chance and you only appear to be a fickle, knee-jerk type of person when it comes to judging him.

 

Actually, if you pay attention to his details, he lives outside of Nashville, has had season tickets since they moved into Adelphia(LP) stadium, and has been a loyal fan since they were still the Oilers. If anyone wants to complain or voice their displeasure with anything the organization they greatfully support emotionally and financially does, these are the kinds of people that come first.

We don't know you, and you don't know us, but the common theme here is that you are a Vince Young fan and not one of the Tennessee Titans. I went to my first Oiler game in 1984 as a youngster, and the HOUSE of PAIN was Rockin'. I will never forget it, made it an annual occurance and I've been proud to wear powder or baby blue any day of the week. The Titans are bigger than Vince Young, they will be here longer than Vince Young, and if the Head Coach of this Franchise believes that KMFC is a better option for WHATEVER REASON, that is the decision, PERIOD. We all(BiPolar, Myself, Nate) want Vince Young to be the Superstar that we drafted with the #3 pick, understand that. But we are not willing to let him taint this franchise in any way on or off the field because of his immaturity or whatever[see Pacman]. What chaps us the most is how his name is so freely thrown in with that of the Ultimate Warrior Steve McNair, he has a long way to go to be mentioned as the same type of leader.

So we will understand your case, that you are supportive of Vince Young no matter what. Just as long as you understand that we always put the team before any player. So let's close this case and ride together to 6-0.

 

Well lets consider that I wasn't even born yet in 1984 and I never even brought up anything about McNair.....ok......anyways vince hasn't tainted the organization and there is no need to create a hierarchy among us fans because you are just being biased.....I never said Fisher was wrong to bench Vince, but to act like he is a total bust is quite irrational, no matter how the media portrays it........since you are so grounded in the history of the Titans/Oilers, you would remember when people were calling for McNair's head. One last time, I am not a vince "fanboy".....BUT I can see he has the all the ability in the world to become an elite quarterback in this league.....just give it time...........it took McNair 6 years.......... give the kid a fair chance.

 

one last thing.....Vince's mother isn't exactly the sharpest crayon in the box and she WAS the one who called the organization......just throwing it out there.

That's fine, but realize that you're new around here. People who have been here a while and have a history together tend to give each other more credit, because we know each other. A lot of us have actually met in person one or more times over the years, some have close friendships. We support each other, and we don't yet know how to react to you because you haven't shown us that much yet. In other words, spend more time making good arguments before you start throwing out name-calling and one liners.

 

Let's just move past it. OK? I don't thing biggums really merits that much attention. However, Vince Young has dug a hole for himself. It's not up to fans to pull him out of it. He needs to quit digging (I believe he has) and fill in the pit with hard work and study. His raw skill is not enough. The kid doesn't need us to give him a fair chance. He needs to give himself a fair chance and dedicate himself to the game. If playing football at a high level is truly his calling he needs to look the part and quit fretting to the media about how he would like to walk away from the fame and stardom because it's too hard to cope with. The "I'm a quitter" or "It's too hard" mentality is one that I do not condone let alone support with my fan dollar. Vince isn't entitled to a damn thing in my view.
