There is a huge difference between jersey that didn't meet production requirements and a Fake jersey. There are some jerseys, which Reebok makes, that have minor defects and end up in outlets for cheap prices...I have no problem with those.

Fakes are a different story....Reebok/the NFL have nothing to do with these. They are straight up counterfeit, made with inferior materials......just like fake rolexes, gucci bags, Jordans etc...

And while its true that many people can't tell the difference between a real or fake/don't even care...... I would still rather have the real thing. I mean if you're gonna buy fake jerseys, then why buy anything that's authentic?

I'm a Jordan collector, and I have seen fakes absolutely destroy the Jordan game. They drive down the value and exclusivity of the real product.

Ah, misconceptions among the sheep. I don't say that as an insult, but so many people think Nike's sweatshop is better than some guy's shop behind his house. Does that sound logical?
And Nike is mass producing far more than these individual retailers.
So to say they use "inferior" materials isn't always correct. To say they do a worse job is also wrong. However, they're offering you a MUCH fairer price than the official source that has raped your pockets.

Many fake jerseys are made of crappy materials, and cheaply made - however there are MANY that make a jersey just as good, with the exact same materials. For 150 dollars less. And even if the quality is slightly worse - the price difference alone makes it worth it.

I'd rather buy 4 good quality 'fakes' (lol @ that word anyway. A fake shirt...right?) over 1 good official one. Especially considering the way players leave, have short careers, etc in the NFL or in the NBA.

But then again - I think if a shoe costs 4 dollars to manufacture (cheap arsed Air Force 1s, Jordans, etc) that they shouldn't cost over 50 dollars. But when people are silly enough to buy wal-mart quality nike products, you can't blame them for taking advantage of the gullible consumers.

It's true that the materials are not always inferior, but i've never met a fake that i couldn't tell the difference between it and the real thing....true, some are pretty good looking, and some are really bad(anybody remember those half and half jerseys a few years ago, or the fake M & N's with the stitched in signatures?)

Anyways, even if no one could tell the difference, I wouldn't wear a fake, it's just a matter of pride with me.

Pride of being a consumer that pays far too much? Kinda like someone advertising that they're a wedgie accepting machine, if you ask me. lol

No.... pride of not wearing something fake. If I cant afford the real thing, i'll just buy a generic Titans t-shirt for $10 somewhere...

I have pride in what I wear.... some people aren't into clothes, and the more power to them-- but i'm not gonna go out in the streets wearing counterfeit clothing.

If my only concern was saving money, then i'd go buy some shaq shoes, and buy all my clothes from Wal Mart, but that ain't me.

I'm in to style and clothes in general. But I also have a sense of logic that tells me that a chevrolet isn't a fake cadillac.
The whole "fake" thing is an illusion in your head. I wonder what you do about grocery shopping. If it isn't kraft cheese, it's fake cheese, eh? lol

So the Indian guy selling Louis Vuitton purses at a kiosk in the mall for $15 isn't selling fake ones?

Yea and how do we know if it's good quality or if it falls apart in the washing machine?

If you buy the real thing you know it's good, if you buy a fake then you don't know.

Yea jerseys are expensive but I'm not cheap, if I want the jersey enough I'll buy it, and I'll buy the real thing so I know it's good quality.
