I don't care what Leinart does for the rest of his career. I'd take VY any day over that playboy.

 

That's the problem with some of you, you'd rather have VY over an excellent QB. Not to say that Leinart becomes an excellent QB, but just saying. What's the point of that? doesn't that contradict being a "True Fan" wanting the success of the organization? I bet most of the Vince Homers would rather have VY than Tom Brady. Why?

 

This is the way all fan bases work. Fans get their hearts set on a player, and they become fascinated with the potential, but never face the reality as it occurs.
So as the player ends up being a weak spot on the team, or washed up, they can't seem to let them go. With some players (McNair, Eddie, etc) it's what they did in the past. Some people can't let it go. So they'd rather have a mediocre player that they love than an upgrade that they're unfamiliar with.

All a part of homerism. Cutler can be miles above VY this year, and probably will. But no one here will admit it. Because VY is our boy. Heck, ATL fans had tons of excuses for Vick too, and never thought he sucked either.
This is why I don't get tied up in emotional bs with players. I don't become a fan until they do something to warrant a following. And when their time is up - it's up. That's football.

So would I. To even talk trade involving your starting QB in the pre-season (unless he's a holdout) is laughable. Especially a third year QB.

As for the Cleveland Browns? They won't win eight games this year. And, then we get to see the networks squirm. after all, they scheduled them FIVE TIMES on National TV this year.

I'm not trying to be mean but you have a lot of nerve trash talking VY. What else could Titans fans want? We made the playoffs last year and even though it was mostly the defense he's working with what he's got. He had a good year his rookie year. Just, what, 3 years ago we were 4-12? Now look where were at. Were a legit contender and were set up for the future for a while.

It was the first time in a while that I was actually excited about the future of the team and having a new franchise player and a face of the NFL. Then last year he injures his biggest weapon, his legs last season. So he didn't play 100% for most of the season. Yet we made the playoffs. I don't care how good our defense is when a team makes the playoffs with an injured QB for half the season that's amazing.

Then over the offseason he gets a new OC, no weapons besides J-Mac(who I'm not a big fan of), Crumpler(who knows if he'll stay healthy) and CJ(another RB). So he has an okay pre-season game against the Rams and then last week he has a bad statistical game and everyone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off.

It's really sad that most of my longest posts is defending our franchise QB! Am I the only one who finds that absurd?! We have about 3-5 threads about VY and what we should do.

Here's the answer. Brace yourself this is very shocking....

We're through two pre-season games (which, by the way, we've won) and everyone's acting as though we've got two games left and we have to win out to make the playoffs while needing three others to lose.

So slow down.

There are teams that would love to have our QBing depth.
