as most every other individual who has even remote knowledge of the NFL, they would say this comparison is an absolute joke. there is NO comparison between the two. unfortunately, the titans will have to come to the realization that VY is a bust should he not improve his passing. why didn't you compare the td/int ratio? that seems a lot more feasible to me

 

Let me give you something better. It is you who is demonstrating a lack of Knowledge.

First 2 years:
Peyton: Int% = 4.0
Vince Young: Int% = 4.1

You are looking at the illusion, not the reality. Peyton was not that good to open up his career. How quickly we forget.

 

I don't think it would be fair to judge Vince against the Jaguars Defense. First of all, we ran for over 200 yards on them last time. Passing may not be the priority, or gameplan. Second, they are supposedly one of the better defenses. I think if we win the game and he has a high completion percentage, low interception count, then that is a fair assessment for that game. But I wouldn't look much more into than that. Plus McCareins, if he starts, will be very rusty and possibly not 100%. I'd give Vince at least two to three games to get it on track. Game 1 could be a very rusty game after having the week off, and playing a good defense. I would expect more in the Cincinnati and Houston game.

That said, I really just want to win, and I think that is how you have to judge Vince. If he ever starts losing games, then all bets are off, and even I will be glad to criticize his performance.

Time off to go to school, in my opinion, has little impact. The guy went to school and played football for 3 years. There's that, and then there's just my opinion. Look at Favre, he was throwing to highschoolers. Everyone prepares differently. Vince focused on the mind. That's not a bad thing to be working out after a playoff loss.

 

The last time we played the Jags we only rushed for 62 yds. VY threw over 200, but had 2 INTs and 1 TD throw in a losing cause.

 

Yeah, but I couldn't remember that game. So I had to go with the first game. I blot out losses. lol.
