Jeff, if you'd like, PM me if you don't plan on seeing it, and I'll tell you some of the more violent moments so you screen it. As someone who's fairly desensitized to on-screen violence, I can honestly say that this movie pushes it with the violent intensity. It boils down to the fact that I'm a bit shocked it's not an R; studios must have seriously slipped something under the table or something, because this is a SOLID R rating.

I'm heading to see it in about an hour. I really wanted to see it on IMAX, but it's sold out all weekend, except for the 1:20 am show, and I can't pull that with the rest of my schedule.

I saw the Dark Knight yesterday. It's a must watch. Best hero movie I've seen in a while. The acting was great but everyone was clearly overshadowed by the Joker who did an amazing job (as hyped). There was only one thing I thought was a little over the top in the movie and it had to do with Sonar, If you have seen It you know what I'm talking about. If not go see it.

The whole movie was genius. And It's a shame Ledger is dead because I don't think anyone will ever be able to do a job like that.

    Great movie.

Ummm...my son went and watched it with me. He is 8. I just asked him if at any point during the movie was he scared, he said no. He loved the action and thinks Batman is the man.

Just saw the movie. Really enjoyed it, but it was honestly a little too dark for me. I also thought that they went over the top in terms of complexity at times when something simpler would have fit. However, I thought it was a great movie, and that the acting was all great. I'm pretty curious as to where they will take it from here, but they did a great job with this one. Plenty of polish, and definitely took the franchise in a different direction, rather than spiderman's sequels. Joker was definitely a creepy creepy character, and well played. I agree with some of the characteristics of others about it, it's not that it shows violence, but that you know what is going on and it's really pretty gross at times.
