i would gladly say i was right

because if they did it would mean manning was hurt. also i believe the titans are the worst team in the division. i could see them finishing last or second to last. the texans and the titans are a toss up for that third place

    not really

i think vy is the worst qb in the division. i also think the texans have two qbs better than vy.

so therefore i dont think they are ready to make any moves to become the team to beat. also i am not sold on that "great" running game that some here think they have

How is third place a toss up? We own the the Texans. Even when the Titans try to blow the game the Texans come up with a way to lose anyway. I think the Titans can win games against the Colts and the Jags. The entire division is a toss up. I see us splitting the series with the colts again this year. We will get the Jags at least one time if not twice. I'm still not sold on the Jaguars. Garrard will find it tough to put up those kind of numbers again this year. If Fred Taylor forgets to take his geritol and blows out a knee the team could be in trouble.

:maefun: The worst? He's the second best, without a doubt. Dinger will make him into a 85 passer rating QB this year. Garard is a fluke, otherwise he could have beat out Leftwich easily. And Schaub cannot stay healthy and Rosenfels is nothing special.

LenWhale played the whole year with a messed up knee. And then we added CJ in the 1st round. Our O-line will be great again. So yes, we will have a great running game. And the Colts are the team to beat, and I think you have one more year at the top.

    Just for fun:

Matt Schaub '07 stats: 2241 yds passing, 66.4%, 7.75 ypa, 9 TD, 9 INT, 1.45 sacks per game, and 84.8 passer rating. IN 11 GAMES.

Sage Rosenfels '07 stats: 1684 yds passing, 64.2%, 7.02 ypa, 15 TD, 12 INT, 1.5 sacks per game, and 84.8 passer rating. IN 9 GAMES.

TOTAL for each team at QB position:

Titans: 3077 yds passing, 62.1%, 6.63 ypa, 9 TD, 17 INT, 1.875 sacks per game, and 72.6 passer rating.

I'm not going to argue that last year VY was better at throwing the ball than your 2 QBs. VY was a crummy passer last year. No one disputes that. However, several factors were working against him. One was that he had no go to WR. You guys had Andre Johnson, who is a beast. Another was that he could not scramble as much as he would because of the quad injury. That led to more sacks, and more bad throws. The final fact is that VY had Chow as an offensive coordinator. We could not have been more predictable.

One more thing about VY, it was his second season. He's not expected to be a great passer at this state like Schaub is supposed to be. But, Dinger will help him imporve his reads and his footwork. Add this to some added players (Crumpler, CJ, and Ealy, who should step up this year) and I think he will outpreform your QBs when you take into account his running.

Fair enough. BUT....Andre Johnson missed 7 games last year. It was also Schaubs first season as a starter. Also factor in that we had a horrible running game last year. Teams were able to key in and tee off on the QB (no, it wasnt just the pass protection people) and focus on our passing game. With the addition of new lineman and Alex Gibbs... the running game should improve. Thus, the play action will be more of a factor this year (huge part of the Denver type O) thus making the Texans O more unpredictable across the board and improving the stat lines on an almost top 10 passing game no matter who is quarterbacking.

I still would rather have Vine Young over any texans qb no matter what. Young is a ballerr.
