Alright gut how many plays in this highlight package had westbrook lined up like a wide receiver? Every play he is lined up in the backfield and most highlights have him running the ball! Imagine that a runningback running with the ball! A runningback taking a hand off!

Westbrook is too slow to ever get drafted by the titans who are obsessed with 40 times. Westbrook's 4.57 was proof that he sucks. Gut wouldn't want him because he can't even out run our 4th rd DE.

    Amusing...

Playtime is over Tide....attempt an argument that actually ONLY applies to CJ.

So when CJ runs out of a double TE set, I'm sure you'll credit all the blockers for any success and if one blows a block and that missed assignment gets CJ nailed in the backfield, it'll be CJ's fault, right?

Or suppose a defense...in response to CJ being on the field...goes to a nickel defense so they can put a CB to cover him and in response, White has an easier time running up the Gut (vs one less good run defender), wouldn't White be benefitting from CJ's presence?

And BTW, no RB can run under any and all circumstances. How well does White run a sweep? Not so great since he's not that fast nor elusive. But because he's big and powerful, he's good at running between the tackles.

    You wanna try again?

You won? You mean you lost because Jerry Rice was used to prove you wrong on a point you made....

Can we just see 1 pre-season game. This argument is pretty much in 2 threads.

    Even funnier...

First of all, a 5 min highlight reel doesn't tell you anything except show him for the most part running with the ball (either after getting a handoff/pitch or catching the ball). Secondly, how many plays that are not screen passes did he line up in the backfield and caught the ball? 1-2 out of how many catches he actually had? Thirdly...and most germaine to your argument, at the 1:12 mark he catches a 5 yd crossing pass and certainly didn't line up at a traditonal HB spot to catch it because another back is just going through the line to the offensive right and Westbrook is already into his patter. So either he lined up somewhere else (likely) or he was aligned as the FB to be in the pattern faster. Even more importantly than that is if you WATCH Eagles games, they move him around. In fact in his website, Parcells credits him with being deployed all around the field and McNabb credits him with creating mismatches for them. Ya think that happens when he's simply aligned behind the QB all the time?

Considering they don't show you most of the passing play formations unless it's a screen, your claim is a lie. We don't know where he's lined up in most of the images. But even if he was aligned in the backfield for all 30 plays of the highlight reel...that's only a small fraction of his plays during the year. I'll take Parcells, McNabb's and my own eyes over your factless opinion.

And don't worry, CJ will run the ball out of a 'standard' RB alignment.

Really? What was LenDale White's 40? How about Eddie George? You might try facts for a change.

    You said it...not me!

Please find a post that says I thought Brian Westbrook sucks...

If you are unable to (because there is none), it would be nice if you didn't attempt to say what I think about players when you don't know how I think about players. Stick to your own opinions...

And his 4.57 is proof that he ran a 4.57 on that timed 40 yard dash. Plenty of players have run slower and been very successful in the NFL. But I'd guess his slow 40, college competition, and smallish stature kept him from being a 1st rnd pick. Clearly he has excellent talent...especially with his change of direction, fluidity, vision, route running, elusiveness, and hands.

Any other corrections I need to make for you on what you THINK I believe?

    Thanks for playing!:thumb:
