No RB has succeeded in the nfl just because he is fast and i wish people would stop acting like this guy is a WR he is not! Just because he is fast doesn't mean he is a WR and if the coaches think he is and try to use him that way his chance of success will be even less.

They drafted this guy for what he can do with a football under his arm so line him up wide so he can rarely get the football?

    Huh?

Which trades were made 'on the fly?' Preparing for the draft doesn't mean you stack a board and wait...all teams run through a lot of scenarios and do several mock drafts. While they will have certain players rated equally (numbers wise), there will always be players they prefer. If you want a pass rushing DE, then you have a few choices. First, trade way up for the best ones. Second, take a guy who's physical skills are problematic (like an elite college pass rusher who's only 230lbs) or take a tweener. A fourth option is taking an elite small school prospect and HOPE he can make the transition in speed, develop technique and learn how to really play the position.

Off the top of my head, Gholston was the top pass rusher in the draft followed by Groves. Long is the safest complete player (since he's currently better than Gholston but Gholston has more upside). Harvey is a better complete player but Groves is a better pass rusher. Jackson is a better run defender than pass rusher. Merling is more a balance LDE. Jones is certainly not an elite pass rushing DE (especially since we appear to be moving him to DT). Campbell is probably the best option to turn into a DT. He doesn't have the elite closing speed but he's huge and quick. He COULD be a dominant LDE who might be an effective pass rusher due to his size/strength/speed ratios. But he's a bigger gamble on greatness pick. However, he IS a player I would have taken had Groves been taken before I could select and Campbell was still there. Then I'd keep KVB at RDE. So I would have liked to have Gholston, Long (both far out of reach) or Harvey (but not anywhere near where he was taken), Campbell (though he's a bigger risk and limited to LDE or DT) or Groves. Assuming I'm the Titans, I would have liked to have gotten one of these without overpaying much.

As for trading...the Jags traded WAY up to ensure they got Harvey. The Ravens traded up to get their QB. Have you not seen other teams do this in every draft - ESPECIALLY in the first and second rnds? You might have noticed that a lot of teams over the last 10 years have traded down only to move back up to get the guy they want. This draft was no different...so your opinion that nobody does what I suggested...doesn't mesh with the facts. This definitely happens - frequently.

    Week 3 titans vs texans..

The RB issue comes front and center. Brownie and slaton vs white and CJ.

CJ and slaton taking on similar roles.

I hope rolltide isn't proven right again on this one.

I'm torn between RT and Gut. You both make good points but are different on theory.

You have to be right once to be proven right again.

Oh gunny looking for another major beating boy?

Ben rothlisberger. You argued he was not a top 10 QB prior to last season. You, riverman and some others argued that big ben couldn't get it done in 06 which proved he is not a top player at his position.

32Tds, 11 ints..104 passing rating later rolltide was proven right. Big ben is probably top 5 not just top 10.

No Roll. You were not right.

Big Ben wasn't top 10 at the time of said argument. And he wasn't.

Nice try though. Back to the milk and cookies, draw some nice pictures on the whiteboard. Be sure not to use permanent markers, wouldn't want your clear lack of comprehension to be stuck on there forever would you.
