That's brutal. The one thing I cannot figure out is why a DT would be on kickoff coverage? That said, his vision is terrible, and it is amazing that he held on to the ball.

he slows down right before the hit, almost bracing for it.

if you look at it again, its almost as if he is trying to plant the foot to cut or something, maybe a spin... thats the only logical explanation I can come up with to why he would slow down that much when he sees the DT.

In his short career he has been known for putting his head down and blindly charging ahead, but why didn't he do it there... They both could have laid each other out, and the hit wouldn't have looked impressive.

So yeah, I think he was trying to spin or cut, but decided to do it extremely too late. :hmm:

edit- atleast I hope he wasn't bracing for it by slowing his momentum, cause that would be bad.

He sure doesn't know to take advantage of the open field.... Everytime he was back doing kick-off return duties, it was driving me nuts. I'm not sure which game it was, but he couldn't even get to the 20 yard line after recieving the kick in between the 5 yard line and endzone. GAH some reason it still bothers me to this day.

All I know is Fisher should be put in jail if he ever lets Henry return another kick. Exposing a player to that kind of abuse needs to be a criminal offense.

On the opposite end of the spectrum watch clips of CJ returning kicks. He doesn't go flat out but does a nice job of picking his spots and following his blocking and then explodes when he sees daylight. Henry seemed to just run straight ahead with his eyes closed or something.

I do still think there is hope for Henry as a RB. He simply needs to keep his head up and be a little more patient.

I remember looking at some of the rare college highlights of Henry and he was prone to bounce everything outside. I distinctly remember a play he had a hole opening between G and T and he still bounced it outside. It made me think he had problems reading blocking. Some of his rookie season didn't do much to change that impression.

It was good to hear that coaches have been helping him understand what the OL is doing more.

Pretty much what White did. How many plays did we see White try to run Hall over as he kept following him even after he was blocking???

Last season, I thought Henry could have done just as good, if not better than White in White's role. A lot of people try to downplay Henry's significance to this offense, but he is essential in a two back offense, and is a commodity in any offense. White showed some grit last season, but if he suffers a major injury at some point, I'm guessing we'll be glad to have Henry. Chris Johnson seems to be a very dynamic player, and I'm sure he'll get on the field in a variety of ways, but I haven't seen him enough to know how tough he is. We at least have a pretty good idea Henry will get back up after being ran over by a mac truck.

Looks like KARMA to me....Give up a big hit, you take a big hit, only seems fair. Hope he takes it that way and has learned to pass protect.
