I'll give it to you though, LA has looked good so far. I was expecting a good series. Maybe it is LA's year, but even if it is, it doesn't negate SA's 4 rings. Timmy will have 4, and Kobe will get his first without riding Shaq's coattails.

 

The spurs threw the white flag pretty early into the 2nd half that's why the score became so lopsided. That's something the spurs have always done, if the game gets out of reach they take out the stars and throw in the scrubs.

 

Tim Duncan is a great player. But he's no superstar. He's like a great actor that nobody really cares about. They think he did well, but they aren't looking for his next film.

Yes gloat tim duncan is not a superstar. You're ridiculous, anyone who knows anything about basketball loves watching tim duncan play. All coaches from junior high to the pros show their big men film of tim duncan in hopes they can play like him. And if you think they're on their way out I don't think you understand their cap situation. Their 3 stars are not all that old. Unless you think boston and phoenix are also done after this year because their main players are even older then the spurs. The spurs have tons of cap room in the offseason and they can attract almost any player to come their cheaper than other places.

 

It's like the Tiger Woods isn't marketable thing all over again.

 

If Tim Duncan is not a superstar, then name some players who are, because I can't think of 5 guys over the last 10 years I would take in front of Tim.

I understand hating a player/team (Brady/NE for example) but you have to give credit where credit is due.

Nobody in the last 10 years can match him in terms of the combination of rings/accolades.

 

That was one of the greatest threads on here because it just showed gloat argues to argue. Gloat, Tiger woods is not marketable and tim duncan is not a superstar I couldn't agree more.
