It's a better WR class than 2010. Williams and Davis are good prospects and Ross essentially guaranteed himself a top 20 pick with that 40 time.

Yep tired of seeing 3rd string QBs and backup TEs walk all over us. I'd love to have Davis or OJ but the D needs fixed. The offense would get a lead only to have the D cave, I'm hoping the D gets addressed first.

Why is it automatically a defensive player that's only worthy of the 5th pick? There is elite talent on both sides of the ball in this draft.

You can make the case that WR, ILB, DB, and TE have all been neglected while trying to fix the OL/DL. Guys we badly need offensive weapons just as much as we need defensive playmakers.

Would be a terrible mistake to reach with our 5th pick on a position I'd argue isn't even our biggest need, when the best players that are available fit our biggest need. I'd love a weapon for Mariota, but it needs to happen at either 18 or or by trading down from 5 to get a chance to get another corner in the second if it's going to happen.

No we don't. Our offense did great last year. We don't have a super weapons in the receiving game outside Delanie, but we get things done. Our ability to defend the pass is a completely different story and why we didn't make the playoffs. It should've been our priority last year. It 100% needs to be this year.

Because the best players in this draft are on the defensive side of the ball, specifically secondary. If Calvin Johnson or AJ Green like prospect was available, then I'd be all for it, but the guys we are talking about drafting at 5 are all graded at around 10-15 on most boards. That's not wise drafting - even if they pan out.

He could be there at 18 no? I'm fine if he falls a bit in draft because of not being a full participant at the combine or pro day.

If it comes down to helping our franchise QB vs improving the defense I'm going with helping Mariota every time. You can make the case that part of the reason he got hurt was from having to hold onto the ball for too long waiting for guys to get open. It was a common theme all season long. And only when defenses didn't straight up play press coverage on our receivers did our offense finally click in the passing game. Also we have lost Wright and Fasano..you really feel satisfied with Mathews as our #1 Sharpe #2 Harry Douglas in the slot and Walker and Supernaw as our starting TEs? It's going to be another year of surviving on the running game and a decent passing attack against inferior secondaries while our defense is relied upon to close out games.
