I want a future 1st and a 2nd rounder THIS year in any trade we get. If we were to move from #5 say to #9 or #10 and someone offered us that, I’d move no matter who was left on the board.

There isn’t an elite player at a position of need for us this year unfortunately.

Oh, someone floated this out there on the radio last week – What if Buffalo at #10 liked one of the QBs and wanted to move up? There have been issues with Sammy Watkins and he’s been hurt (which is scary). What if they offered Watkins plus their 2nd for #10? I’d have to think REAL hard about that one.

Disagree. Combine is good for matching what you see on film to the numbers. Frequently they match but some guys who look fast in the field run slow in shorts and vice versa.

Nice to know if a fast guy on film has real Nfl speed!

Not me. Freeny was the epitome of speed rusher!!! He was faster than Von Miller!

Barrett is not that kind of player. He has a college burst but not that elite explosiveness. His passion and tenacity and dip and rip with his hands are a nice combo. I'll be very interested to see his combine numbers because he doesn't look that fast but just keeps getting by ppl.

I had that same thought with Bruce Smith. Never looked that fast or huge but just kept getting by ppl! Not saying he's Bruce Smith but you get the idea.

FYI, appropriate value for dropping from 5 to 12 is a 2nd round pick this year in the top third of the round.

Unless there is a single qb left and we can fleece a team for him or a couple of teams are in a bidding war, no way do we get more than a 2nd. You will not also get a future 1 which would be doubling the value of the trade.

If someone offers us a fairly high 2nd round pick, you take it unless you have 5 players all about equal and don't care about a particular player or position.

If the trade is right take it, but honestly, id love to get a top tier few players in the first. Damn do we need some spark and athleticism.

Agreed…I posted in the other forum if Cleveland wants to come up from 12, then you trade back and take their #33 overall. Only hesitate if Allen or Garrett are there IMO and if that's the case you ask for a 2nd rounder next year as well!
