He is but he could easily play the slot. He's a natural receiver.

I agree he is a natural receiver, but not that he is a Kendall Wright replacement. Kendall plays about 30-40% of the snaps... there's no way we are investing a 1st or 2nd round pick to replace that.

Not that McCaffrey isn't worth that, I think he is... huge fan. If we are picking McCaffrey in 1st our 2nd, its not to replace Kendall... its to mold our offense around him as a major piece, any 1st or 2nd round O player for that matter.

If we draft him it isn't to replace Kendall's 30-40% of the snaps as you said. We would have a plan in place to feature him. I can't tell if we just don't utilize the slot because of Kendall or if it's just a position we don't feature. You would think with Marcus's release and accuracy he would be deadly looking to the slot WR. Some games we get KW involved and other weeks he falls off the face of the Earth. It's perplexing to say the least.

I also like the fact McCaffrey is a nice returner. We desperately need to upgrade ST. Ross and Jackson are nice return men as well.

Trade down, trade down, trade down. Still too many holes on our roster, and now we know Robinson can draft starters in any round. Can you imagine Robinson with 10+ draft picks?

I don't see us taking McCaffrey even though he is a JRob type player in that he lives and breathes football and is a very hard worker.

But we'd have to change our offense to a 3 wr set to put him in the slot or sit Murray AND Henry to run McCaffrey. I don't think we do that because it changes our whole offensive philosophy. You want a similar slot wr, draft Switzer in the middle rounds who is also an excellent pr!

Will be very interesting which CB JRob and Dick covet, because they'll likely have pick of the top 2. I think Foster would take this D to the next level faster than any CB in this draft
I agree... Titans in 3 years and its a different story, he would most certainly be a target in the draft. We aren't quite there yet.

Depending where we end up with the Rams top pick and who is on the board, I would trade down and pick up a 2nd pick.

Would love to see Jourdan Lewis and Cooper Kupp in Titans uniforms next year.

2015 Oregon game 243 yards 3 tds (I know it's only highlights but go check him out on dreakbreakdown)

I think it's more due to the Run game dominance. I've charted the games and we go into 11P (1 Rb, 1 TE, 3 WRs) whenever we want to pass. We rarely run out of that personnel. 2:1 or greater.

Part of the reason the slot isn't the backbone of the offense is because of the reduced splits to help our OTs. Add in the 12 and 13p packages, Slot WRs just not part of the game plan.

We should however draft someone to fill that roll. Mariota does his best from those packages and having a weapon there would help.

Yes, most bang for our current buck is to simply draft a good replacement for Wright (assuming we dont keep him). Of course, we also could upgrade our #1 or #2 wr's too. Or perhaps we decide to double down at TE and give DW and young partner in say an OJ Howard who can do it all.

Question is, will we stay with this philosophy and try to augment it with upgrading current personel or expand it with more passing and newer weapons in the passing game (use more 3 wr sets)?

To keep the current game plan they really need two things imo. 1A - True #1 WR. That changes the dynamic instantly. 1B - Another pass Catching/Blocking TE. You sub the 3rd Wr for a sub 4.6 TE who can maul people and we continue the 12P tend while blurring the lines of 11...

Also, Speed is the other option to change this offense.
