The moment you thought Tyler Wilson was a viable NFL QB, you lost all credibility.

Sounds like you have a lot of faith in Oakland's ability to develop rookie QBs. You're on a roll with this losing credibility thing.

let me say this.. I went through and watched season 1 of the 1987 cartoon. It is pretty BAD!

People are worried about honoring this? I loved it as a child, but I was 2-6 years old. If I had never seen it as a child, there is no chance I would get into it now. Unlike the Tick cartoon, which is infinitely more witty and funny. (with the exact same voice actors!)

    Michelangelo is the Tick

    Raph is Arthur

    Leo is Die Fledermaus.

I can't tell you how many times my childhood memories have been RUINED.... by that exact same material I loved as a child. Sometimes things are simply meant to be enjoyed when you're a kid. I can't tell you how many cartoons/shows/movies that I absolutely LOVED as a child I've went back and watched as an adult and wasn't even able to make it through. It's a bummer, but shouldn't really be that surprising. Sometimes the memories of the thing are infinitely better than the thing actually is in reality.

I have no doubt the original TMNT cartoon is one those things. Which is yet another reason I think it's silly to think it's being desecrated by some movie in 2014. If you think the new movie is going to kill your childhood, then just don't get see it. And if the mere knowledge that the movie exists is going to "ruin" TMNT for you..... well, I don't even know what to say. "Get a life" maybe?

Let's just be real for a second. Just because we have fond memories of something does not make it good. Getting this off my chest.

Lived and breathed for Power Rangers

    IT SUCKS. It is horrible.

    Loved Ninja Turtles

It is not great, but better than Power Rangers

I need to apologize to my dad for making him sit through countless hours of Power Rangers and the 2 movies.

SDM, you beat me to the punch. lol.

On some rare occasions, you may go back and see that something you loved is pure genius. It's rare, but it happens occasionally. I feel that way about the Tick. It's silly, but not over the top cheesy.

I went back and watched a few episodes of Power Rangers about 6 months or so ago on Netflix. W.....T.....F.

How did that show ever hit like it did? Even by kids show standards it's so laughably bad. Yet that show was soooooooooooooooo huge. I mean, I'd say pretty much every boy from 5-11 was watching it. And the ungodly amounts of money they must've made off of toys and merchandise. Creators must feel like they won the freaking lottery lol.
