Ok Titans fans, the season is almost upon us and I dont see a current thread about what everyone thinks the Titans record will be. I posted a thread like this last year in hopes of the Titans winning 10 games but sadly we fell 3 game short (no one predicted the home loss to the Jags) and we should have had that OT loss to the Texans week 2.

Anyway, its a NEW season so lets see how it breaks down. Do you agree or disagree with my picks? And please vote for the record you think it most realistic. BOLD Means Home game.

    Chiefs - L
    Cowboys - W
    Bengals - L
    Colts - L
    Browns - W
    Jags - W
    Redskins - W
    Texans - W
    BYE
    Ravens - L
    Steelers - W
    Eagles - L
    Texans - L
    Giants - W
    Jets - W
    Jags - W
    Colts - L

I would go through game by game, but I dont have the time this morning. Basically our entire season rides on Jack Lockers shoulders anyway, so its REALLY hard to predict the outcome this season. The big thing is our schedule is weaker this season and no one has us on their radar. Most of the league has left us for dead so we can use that to our advantage by sneaking some wins. I also love the back to back NY home games. Got to be a first. I think 9-7 is truly the best we can get this season unless we have some luck on our side. I cannot predict a win in either Colts game as it hasnt happened in two seasons. And I will continue to predict wins against the Jags even though we will probably drop one just like every other year. I believe we do have a shot at winning 3 out of 4 against NFC teams.

    What do you think?

Losses to the Chiefs, Bengals, and Colts early are realistic, but with no Robert Mathis I like our chances vs them week4.

We dont face any elite QB's, Im thinking we win 10+ games so long as no one important goes down with injuries.

I see 9-7 and sneaking into the playoffs. I do think we take one off the Colts. We outplayed them the last 4 times. We really should have won all 4.

Honestly, 13-3 is obviously a huge stretch. But as I was looking through our games individually, I really don't see a single one that isn't winnable or that scares me (whereas last year we had San Fran, Seattle, Denver).

I really do expect we're going to go into Arrowhead and lay the smack down week 1. Our guys are going to be pissed off that we let that one slip away last year. And on top of that they are going to be super hype just for the opener and being under a new regime.

As I go through our schedule game by game I find myself expecting to win way more games than I know we will...

    @ Chiefs W
    Cowboys W
    @ Bengals L
    @ Colts W
    Browns W
    Jaguars W
    @ Redskins L
    Texans W
    @ Ravens W
    Steelers W
    @ Eagles L
    @ Texans W
    Giants W
    Jets W
    @ Jags W
    Colts L

That puts us at 12-4, which I don't think is even remotely possible. My prediction is still going to be 8-8 because I hate getting my hopes up only to be crushed at season's end. This is the easiest schedule I remember us having since either 07 or 11 though.

    1. Chiefs aren't that good. They lost three starting OL and a ton on defense. They're average at best right now. But that's a tough place to play an opening game, and I could see us losing. I picked us to win in Pitt week 1 last year, and I'll do the same with KC this year.

    2. Cowboys are the worst team in the NFL, so there's that.

    3. Bengals are going to be really tough to beat in Cincy, so I don't see a W here.

    4. Colts are the most overrated team in the league and won't have Robert Mathis. We have all but handed Luck all four of his W's against us. It ends this week.

    5. Browns are Browns.

    6. Henne.

    7. Redskins are sure to be much improved this season. We really should beat them in my eyes, but this is just one of those away games I feel like we drop for no reason.

    8. Fitzpatrick.

    9. Ravens suck. We seem to beat them in Baltimore most of the time anyways.

    10. Steelers suck... like seriously. I think they suck just like they sucked last year and the year before. You don't go 0-2 against Munchak and not suck. There are no excuses for that other than sucking. And that is why Rex Ryan and the Jets suck. 0-2 against Munchak. They suck.

    11. Eagles are gonna be really good - if Foles is what I think he is. He could be a little fluky, but it's hard for me to write off 27 TD/2 INT. Sure, no DeSean, but that offense is going to be deadly with McCoy, Maclin (if he stays healthy), Jordan Matthews, and Sproles. Oh, and Ertz is going to breakout, so there's that too.

    12. Fitzpatrick.

    13. Giants front 7, aside from JPP, sucks as far as I know. They upgraded at CB, but that defense should still suck pretty bad. This is the first time Eli has returned to LP since blowing that 21-0 4th quarter lead and throwing the fate-sealing INT to Pacman Jones...

    14. Jets... LOL. Their defense (mainly front 7) could keep them in the game though.

    15. Henne... or Bortles at this point. Doesn't matter either way.

    16. This could very well turn out to be a huge game. I honestly see the Colts getting off to a rough start this season (1-3 if we beat them)... It's hard for me to say we'll sweep the Colts without sounding like a homer, and I already have us winning there week 4.
