Sherman wins. Garbage player for a garbage game. Can't wait for 2k to start releasing NFL games again. (they are)

Meh. It's just something else for Seahawk "fans" to pound their chests about. It also shows why you shouldn't leave stuff like this to be decided by the ignorant and stupid public.

    Garbage player? Really?

He's the best corner in the game, as he made clear to Erin Andrews and the world, and the numbers back that up.

    Dispute that.

Can't wait to hear the typical excuse of "he had the best front 7 in the league" (he didn't) or "he had the best safety in the league."

He did have the best safety, but be real... he was left alone in single coverage often and Earl Thomas was rarely on the same side of the field as him. How many times have you seen QBs challenge Sherman in single coverage and fail miserably? When Fitz threw the ball his way I just said "this is getting picked." That's how it is with Sherman, regardless of the QB.

He's the best, and that picture backs it up. You can dig deeper and find that he leads the NFL in just about every statistical category for a CB over the last two seasons as well - not just 2013.

    He's not the best lol

Sure he had a good 16 games but that ended 5 months ago.

$20 says you change your tune by seasons end.

Sherman can only play on one side of the field. That's it. Can't cover the guy in the slot, or the TE on 3rd down when they are the biggest threats. All he can do is play on his side of the field. You'll start to see coordinators adjust to this. They might put their 3rd best WR over on Sherm's side to be locked down, while the offense focuses on their other weapons which Sherm is helpless to defend.

Sherm also has one of the best supporting casts you can ask for. There are a handful of guys I'd take before Sherman, like Joe Haden or Patrick Peterson. Sherman might be the best at playing one side of the field, but he is an incomplete player.

How often are the other top CBs (aside from PP) playing in the slot or switching sides though? PP is the most versatile corner in the league (and best playmaker), but he isn't the best corner IMO. I haven't paid close enough attention to the other CBs, but I highly doubt they're switching sides or playing the slot very often.
