yeah the numbers show something is going on. Receptions stayed the same but YPC dropped in half over the last 2 seasons

"if" he made the team, you Made my point. A few good catches and a few good returns would be worth a look. I know he isn't a star player anymore and is injury prone, but still worth a look, imo

I was referring to other teams... Cribbs would not make our team.

We have Washington, Mariani, and McCluster. A return man is not something we are looking for at this point... We will be cutting Mariani as it is.

I dont know. Washington did exactly nothing outside the return game for the Titans and MM, if he has improved as a FL (BIG IF) I think he would be more valuable to the Titans. Not gonna keep 4 RBs IMO. That leaves Greene, Sankey, McCluster & Battle/Washington/Andrews

I say if anything Titans use McCluster as pr and kr and punt both MM and Washington to the curb. But of those 2 only MM has a chance, injury aside, of making the Titans 53. But it will depend on him being able to play WR on sundays IMO

    You don't know that.

People need to stop discounting Mariani. Before he went down he was beating CBs in preseason and creating separation. He may actually be good. You know he's got the hands. If his speed is still there I like him as our 5th WR

I have a hard time seeing us using McCluster at both return positions. I expect him to be the PR and Washington to be the KR.

And I see no issue with keeping 4 RBs if one is a return man. But that would mean Andrews is a goner, and I was wanting him to stick around.

You may be right if he comes on strong as a WR... We need 5-6 WRs on the roster, and the only ones I can think of (other than whoever we may have gotten in UDFA) are Wright, Hunter, Nate, Preston, and Mariani. So as of right now he may be safe.

I bet we sign another vet WR though.

McCluster did return KOs his first couple of seasons. He can do that job

oddly enough he was only about average at it with a 21 average with no TDs

also remember Roger dont want KORs anyways so the job is of less importance than even a couple of years ago

That's not my point. He is going to be a bigger part of the offense now than he was back then. I doubt they'll want him being used as a PR/KR and RB. That's asking too much and increasing his risk of injury.

I stopped caring about them getting hurt a long time ago

players just want paid, I just want Ws

players that show loyalty I care more about

McCluster will in all likleyhood be a third down RB so I see no reason why he could not return 50 punts and 30 KOs on the season
