Crazy delusional Texan fans also cheer when their QBs are hurt. I don't put stock in their opinions. Both Mercilus and Brooks have shown promise, and they're still very young. They're only entering year 3.

Keep in mind that despite a 2-14 record, they had the 7th ranked defense in the league.

I still expect them to suck as a team. But that front 7 is going to be beastly. Maybe they'll lose Watt to FA in 2016 though. That would be excellent.

I hate to constantly be contrary ... but.... as I point out to Texan fan who gives me the whole 7th ranked defense crap.. well thats yards... how about points? They were 24th, 23rd against the run. This is a defense thats just flies to the QB. You can run on them. Teams did. Cushing has just had his 50th knee surgery, so we will see how good they are. Will the be able to rush the passer? Sure. But that can be schemed for. They were and probably are for the forseable future a 1 dimensional defense. A really strong nasty Oline will handle that.

Take away Schaub's pick 6's and they are not 24th in points.

Their offense was so bad that it consistently left their defense on the field (defending short fields) all the time and, in turn, they gave up a decent amount of points.

As I've stated previously, I expect them to suck this season and for the foreseeable future - until they get a QB (Savage is a scrub).

I promise you are letting your hatred and displeasure of living in a city overrun with Cow fans cloud your judgment here. But yes, running on them is the way to go. I may have exaggerated on their front 7, but between Watt, Clowney, Nix, and Cushing (if he survives), it's a very good group. And I liked Mercilus coming out of the 2012 draft... I expect him to get much better.

    Texans go 7-9 AT BEST

That Rams defense sure is damn good. Has Fisher & Gregg Williams all over it. They are going to be TOUGH. Hard nosed, won't lie, I miss the years we had Fisher and you knew our defense was going to give you a DOG FIGHT

But the NFC West, damn man.

In terms of ppl saying Fisher being fired, man, we all know dude will somehow turn this into a 15 year gig haha

I think that's more of a Bud thing.

I think his time is up on being called "one of the best NFL coaches."
People are finally starting to look past the one run he had over a decade ago, and starting to expose him for what he is. Mediocre at best.

Or it shows that he is not really that good. I personally have no problem with him being gay. I just think that it should not be paraded around that much. The Jackie Robinson comparison is plainly ignorant, because Robinson unlike Sam was known for his play. Everybody knows that Robinson played because he was great. Sam on the other hand is not known for being a top notch prospect. He is known as the first openly gay football player. If he was not gay he would have gotten zero attention. Maybe he would not have been drafted at all.

Fisher is mediocre. Period. Some including me to begin with thought that Fish was all that but over the years began to slowly prove me wrong to the point that I just did not want him here. As a person I still like him but his less than impressive run with the Rams so far shows him for what he is , trading on "past glories". The NFL has evolved in strategies and Fish is still Fish ; doing the same old.....

The Rams 7 looks good but jeez the NFC is a tough cookie these days and I think its going to take more than a D that can hold its opponents to three scores when you have an offense that is really misfiring.

On Sam , I'm glad he got a shot. Its all about pride in the jersey and being a pro , doing your job and earning the corn. His private life should be his own though no doubt that some of the Stateside media will continue to portray this as a charity pick. Hopefully , some that maybe neglected to pick due to the media circus or their own prejudices , were that to be the case , will be made to eat crow.

It's incredible! I can see all 4 NFC West teams competing for the Superbowl next season. Don't underestimate the Cardinals either. They got a lot better this offseason!

What about the rams offensively makes you think they will be a contender for anything more than a top 15 pick?
They are one of the most uninteresting teams in the league. Even their city is not excited for them.
