I wouldn't mind us taking Marquise Lee if he is there when we pick in the second!

Because two months ago they didn't know they'd get a better player in the draft.

The Titans structured the deal so they can get out of it after one year and $6 million. If they want to keep him after this season and move Lewan to LT and have Oher be the starter they can to that route as well.

It would still cost them 9 million. Not 6. So essentially we paid him 9 mil for one year and you guys were bitching and moaning about CJ's contract and he actually started and produced.

And you clearly have no argument. Thanks for proving my point. Keep up the good work man!

TWW actually has a point. We're going to have a starter with a cheap contract, and a backup on a high dollar contract? It just plain sounds stupid to me. A backup who will never see the field barring injury is not worth the 6 million. If they bench him, it is a colossal waste of cap space.

If they don't dump Roos, we're either going to be wasting a year of a top 11 picks career, or wasting 6 million of cap space on a player who likely will barely see the field. If you need a utility player, they can be had for way less than 6 million.

Yes. You can have too many high dollar tackles. They aren't like DL, who you can freely rotate. They have to be extremely cohesive. It's not bad to have too many, but it is bad to have a big investment rotting on the bench.

If that one extra player costs less than a million per.. Then good deal.

There is no point having an argument with an idiot. As you constantly keep proving you are incapable of making a point and just want to bring up CJ.

How is that not a point? You say its ok to pay 9 mil for a back up OT but not 10 mil for a top 10 starting rb?

Following the selection of OT Taylor Lewan at No. 11 overall, TitansInsider.com reports there's some "talk" the Titans could "move" LT Michael Roos.
Roos is in the final year of his deal and is owed a $6.625 million base salary, all of which the Titans could get out from under by releasing him. He's missed just one start since his 2005 rookie season and has been an above-average left tackle for years. Cutting Roos and replacing him with Lewan would only make sense financially. Why the Titans handed RT Michael Oher $9.5 million guaranteed in March is the real question that needs to be asked.
