I hope Barr is our guy in the 1st. I want Tre Mason in the 2nd. I'm down to take a flier on qb in the 4th with no real preference, but not before the 4th unless we trade back and get a 3rd. I would look at one in the 3rd too.

I don't believe he is our guy. I would like to take a shot at Garrett Gilbert from SMU.

Lackluster career at Texas, graduated in 3 years went to SMU and drastically improved under June Jones who has played/coach the QB position since the early 1970's.

He was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school. Wouldn't be a bad 6-FA pick-up. He is on the rise after a solid pro-day completing 87-88 passes with the 1 incompletion being the receivers fault.

I absolutely would not draft any of these QBs at 11. The only thing any of them have over Locker is health. That's not an upgrade I'm willing to use the 11th pick in the draft on when none of them look like franchise starters.

I wouldn't draft any of the "second tier" guys in the first three rounds. Think about how many teams will be looking for a starting QB in this draft: Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Oakland and Minnesota. Five teams absolutely have to take QB and hope they get the right guy. So you have to assume that three of those teams will take one of the first tier(lets say it's Bortles, Manziel and Carr), however you have them ranked. That leaves the two other teams picking who they like out of Birdgewater, Murray, Garoppolo, McCarron, Mettenberger and Savage. The two teams that need a QB will fill their spots. Guess what? You still have FOUR QBS LEFT.

Kansas City might take one in the third because Andy Reid loves taking QBs and Alex Smith is in the last year of his deal. Arizona might take one because Carson Palmer is Carson Palmer. Other than that? Two mystery teams will have to take a guy ahead of the Titans in the first three rounds, essentially wasting a premium pick on a backup, for one of the guys I listed to not be available in the fourth.

Please, Ruston, play this **** right and don't take one of these middle of the road QBs in the first three rounds.

This is totally why we're bringing in so many QBs. We aren't taking one high.

This line of thinking is why Im absolutely not touching a QB at 11, but 42 probably

If the one guy you absolutely fell in love with drops to 42(which seems to be Carr in the Titans' case) and you think he's head and shoulders above the rest, then take him. Other than that? There is not enough separation among these guys to warrant that selection, if you ask me.

I agree. I think they have to go immediate impact player and best talent early. It would be totally different if there were QB's that were lights out good, but they all seem to be giant question marks. That being said, I do want a qb. Hopefully, in a perfect world, we trade back for an extra pick or two and take one 3rd or 4th round...

3rd or 4th round QBs that have done anything lately? Russel Wilson. Maybe Foles.

Not really a high % pick. Even second round selections are stiff. I don't for the life of me understand picking up another mid-round backup.

Second round is the latest. Swing and miss early or don't bother swinging. 4th rounder can easily be a starting RB or LB. Almost no chance you come out with Tom Brady.

I know the chances aren't great there, but I am saying if they aren't "Sold" on anybody, don't reach. I personally think Jake isn't the answer, and obviously we need a backup, so I won't be upset either way, but they shouldn't just rush to draft someone for the sake of just getting a QB. This draft class is not the best at that position, which sucks for the Titans. They also have a ton of holes to fill, with a defense that is transitioning to the 3-4, which CLEARLY it was not set up for previously. I am not disagreeing with you, rather proving that we kind of have a double edged sword deal going on in TN right now.

We are going to go NT/QB/RB in the draft. This really isn't news, and possibly not in that order.
