"If" one of the top 3 QBs fell

At least one QB falls pretty far every year... and usually a QB no one expects goes before some of the top prospects.

Bridgewater won't fall to the 2nd round though. That's a smokescreen or simply a stupid statement.

 

I'll be hurt if we pass on teddy. Id rather be wrong about the kid then to see us let him slip.

Frankly, at this point I'm gonna be slightly pissed if we pass on any of the top qbs in the first, that even includes JohnnyOVO.

If We have a chance at Teddy, Carr, Manziel or bortles, we take one. Whichever it is that falls. Live with the pick. Live with the fact that in this league you don't win without a QB. Who cares if we miss... We've missed before. We can miss again but you definitely miss on every ball you don't swing at.

 

I know that they have come out and said that they aren't going QB or CB in the first round, but let me tell you, if any of those guys fall into Whiz and co. lap, it is going to be very tough to pass it up for them. He CLEARLY is not sold on Jake Locker, and I can see them going QB in the 1st without a doubt.

This is exactly what I've been saying. I am not the least bit convinced or sure of any of these QBs, but I would take any of them at #11. Carr I would probably trade back for.

 

Let me try to find it. I know someone on here mentioned something about it, with that being included.

 

Could just be me too. I know they said no RB/CB in round 1, and that he was "feeling great" about Jake Locker (Insinuating that they are happy with Jake being the guy)..but as I stated before, I think that was Coach talk for "Jake is the guy...FOR NOW".

 

Yeah I agree, I am not sold on any of them either, BUT I also know that Jake just simply isn't the long term answer...and lets face it, you can't win and be a playoff team without consistent QB play. They have to roll the dice at some point!

 

Yep. Every team to ever hit on a QB (with the exception of the rare can't miss prospects) took a risk. You just have to keep taking that risk until it pays off.

The new CBA has made things a lot easier in terms of taking risks on QBs. No way in hell would I take ANY of these guys in the top 10 before this CBA.

 

You aren't lying there man...This is about as thin of a class as I can remember. There is always that 1 or 2 that pan out though, and I am just PRAYING that if we choose one at #11, that they are more accurate, consistent, and stable than Jake
