I'm pretty torn on who the Titans should pick. I don't watch much college ball, so I can't get overly passionate about any of the prospects. I'm a little skeptical of Teddy B, he doesn't seem to have any exceptional physical tools that would make him worthy of a first round pick.

I guess the ideal pick would be Barr (if the team was sold on him). Like any of the prospects I see projected to go at 11, Barr has many detractors... so obviously this is very contigent in the teams evaluation of him.

I've always like the idea of drafting into a strength to create unsolvable mismatch problems for an opponent. I don't know that an OT will be there at 11 worthy of being taken that high, but again, I'd defer to the scouting staff, if they think a guy like Lewan is a stud, then I'd be all for that selection (assuming Matthews and Robinson are gone by then). I love the idea of having one of the best olines in football for the next few years.

I can see the sense of taking Gilbert at 11. Again this goes back to what the Titans scouting staff thinks of him... if they believe he's a legit high end corner, it'd be hard to find fault with that selection.

A player I don't see connected at all to the Titans in mocks is Ebron. I find the idea of pairing him with Walker in a two tight end set very intriguing.

I'd be okay if the Titans take one of the QB's at 11. I'd have to assume that if they did take a passer at 11, the staff must be incredibly high on the guy. All of the QB's in this draft make me very nervous... I really like Jake, but again, if they think a guy like TB is a stud, then they really can't afford to pass in him if he's there.

Rambling post composed on my phone as I sit here on the banks of the mighty Thames River in lovely London Ontario Canada. Hope it's somewhat coherent. =]

I think Woods will be starting NT. Pito/Casey at the ends.

As most have said, it's tough to decide on a player. We should really take the best playmaker available. I don't want a QB at 11 because I don't think any are worth the pick at 11. Bridgewater is having more bad reviews in private workouts, which is a big red flag when you can't do well with basically no defenders against you. I hope if a QB slides we are able to use it to trade down. I also don't want a CB because we might as well have re-signed Verner (yeah I know there is a big cost difference).

    Our current starting lineup is:
    Locker- QB
    Greene- RB
    Stevens- FB
    Hunter- WR
    Wright- WR
    Walker- TE
Roos, Levitre, Schwenke, Warmack, Oher- OL

    Woods- NT
    Casey- DE
    Pitoitua- DE
    Ayers- OLB
    Phillips- OLB
    Brown- ILB
    Woodyard- ILB
    McCourty- CB
    Wrih-Wilson- CB
    Griffin- S
    Pollard- S

There isn't one spot that a rookie must come in and start, but there are obvious weaknesses and question marks along those starting spots.

I'd love to see some scenario where we trade down (with the 11) and up (using our 2nd) and land Mosley (as a real stud ILB) and JimmyG or Carr (as an heir apparent QB).

We'll see. I'm even more open to drafting another WR at 11, and I was pretty opposed to that when offseason started. But looking at positions and needs, eh WRs are pretty big deals and will help out Jake or another QB whether that QB is on the roster this year or not until next year.

As long as we don't reach bad, I think I'll be happy. I'd be ecstatic with ANY of the top QBs (despite the question marks that come along with each).

I can't disagree with the logic. But I just have a hard time seeing them investing a high 1st in that position after investing a 1st in Wright two years ago and trading to move up last year to get Hunter. But if Evans is there and is truly BPA on their board then who knows.

I agree that the biggest playmaker be it on offense or defense is who we should draft. The FO has done a nice job setting us up for BPA.

When I look at the roster and consider depth then CB is the spot that stands out to me. If McCourty were to get hurt then we are looking at Sensabaugh and Wilson on the outside with who knows at NB. That is not a good scenario in a league that is a passing league.

I would love to trade back and get a 3rd and nab a CB, pass rusher, ILBer, and QB with our 1st 4 picks. I can wait on a running back...bring in a late rnder and a few undrafted guys to compete for a spot.

Looks like there is going to be a QB run in the 2nd round...one of the ELITES more than likely. Will fall to us in the 1st...probably Teddy

Tom Savage - QB - Player
Pittsburgh QB Tom Savage is scheduled to either visit or work out for 24 or 25 teams before the draft.
Savage's stock is sizzling. His agent has had to tell two teams who wanted to set up a visit that his client literally has no days left available before the May 8 draft. At 6'4/228 with what "some are calling" the "best (arm) in the draft" per SI's Peter King, Savage now looks like a candidate to come off the board in the second round. King suggests the Texans at No. 33 overall as a potential fit.

Jimmy Garoppolo - QB - Player
According to SI's Peter King, the Jaguars "really like" Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo.
King is hearing that four QB-needy teams (Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Oakland) are "strongly considering" passing on the position with their first picks and waiting for round two. Perhaps that's why there's so much buzz around guys like Garoppolo and Pittsburgh's Tom Savage right now. Garoppolo, from the same college as Tony Romo, has a lightning-quick release but gets noticeably rattled in the pocket and has some arm strength questions at 6'2/219.

Exactly why I don't want Jimmy G. Rattled in the pocket. Huge red flag.

Not sure why everyone is on Tom Savage's D all the sudden I hope the Texans take him round 2.
