    My worthless opinion...

Buy cheap. Use first two on other needs. If he's there were we can grab him later jump on it. If not take a chance with Locker which we are going to do anyway and grab a qb next year.

An amusing antidote but the best GM in the business at the time, Ron Wolf gave the Falcons the 19th pick to get Favre on the Packers. Wolf would go on to draft Matt Hasselbeck and Mark brunell with 5th rd picks and he would sign Kurt Warner as an undrafted free agent. The man knew a QB when he saw one.

I'm confused. Are you under the impression that it costs us picks to trade back in the draft? It's the opposite.

For example, if we traded 1st round picks with the Seahawks, they would get our #11 pick, we'd get their #32 pick and probably a 2nd and 4th (or 3rd) at the minimum.

You don't need to have many draft picks to trade back... And teams with fewer picks would be smarter to trade back as much as possible. I'm not suggesting we do that, but it will all depend on who is left at #11.

    Maybe
My reply was to trading back into the bottom of the 1st...which means we already picked at #11...to do that we would need to give up picks. Not trade back in 1st but trade back into 1st.

Ahh... Yea, trading back into the 1st is not going to happen. Not enough picks.

I don't think that's what was being suggested though. I think he was talking about trading back out of the #11 spot.

This is the one I was replying to...
Which is why I mentioned the possible trade with Cleveland and take him at 26. Provided they go WR at 4 and want Carr at 11.

Which brought up the possible trade with Browns, provided they take WR at 4 and want Carr at 11...that's why we could be playing up Carr.

    From Walter:

[IMG] Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 226.
    40 Time: 4.97.
    Projected Round (2014): 1-3.

3/29/14: Garoppolo was a prolific point machine in 2013. He threw for 5,050 yards with 53 touchdown passes and nine interceptions while completing 66 percent of his passes. Scouts are said to like Garoppolo's quick release, but have concerns about his hand size and level of competition.

When Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron turned down the Senior Bowl, that opened up a spot for Garoppolo, who took advantage of the opportunity. Garoppolo played better in Mobile than he did the week earlier at the East-West Shrine, and that isn't surprising considering the rust factor and having better receivers to work with. Garoppolo had a good week of practice where he displayed accuracy, decision-making and had no issues practicing against a higher caliber of competition.

As a passer, Garoppolo has a nice skill set. He has a strong arm with a fantastic delivery. His quick release and raw field vision illustrate the potential for him to be a good pocket passer.

For the NFL, Garoppolo will have to improve his feet and operating under three-, five- and seven-step drops. That will help him to throw the ball accurately and in rhythm. WalterFootball.com has received positive feedback on Garoppolo from scouts and coaches. They view him as a nice developmental option for the second day of the 2014 NFL Draft, although some team may reach on him late in the first round. .

I wouldn't mind Jimmy G, or Carr. I will say though, the Teddy B is certainly in the mix gang. Especially if the pass rushers are all gone, and he falls.

We all know that you know everything about QBs.

Your quotes: "McCarron is better than Murray because he is three inches taller"
"Carr is the best prospect, because he had a very good pro day"
I know I did not quote you word for word, but this is what you were saying.
